Some of the differences are these:
A. Trump does what he wants and doesn't listen to those around him.
B. Biden always listens to those around him and does what they want.
A. trump has a track record of results.
B. Biden has a track record of being elected.
A: Trump says "I did this"
B. Biden says "Barrack and I did this"
A. Trump brags about the size of his hands.
B. Biden brags about beating up people behind the gym.

I was responding to what you quoted. That is not word salad. It is certainly something, but it is not word salad.
Word salad is associated with schizophrenia.... which is whole different from Alzheimer's. It involves random, unconnected words that are mostly meaningless. Not words that aren't important, but words that don't make sentences. You did not present a transcript of random, unconnected words. You presented a mildly rambling speech.
The last one similarly isn't word salad.... and it's an op ed, It is as it claims to be, evidence of dementia, not schizophrenia... I note that they said that doctors wrote to his doctor suggesting he be tested for alzheimer's, and he was and passed... so just as you and i both suggested as to why Biden shouldn't take it, they come back with... well, that wasn't the right test.
Bottom line, you didn't present evidence of word salad. It may well exist, but that wasn't it.
The 2015 article is interesting. I'd like to read it. The other two are fairly recent. I've seen articles talking about Biden doing this for years.

Kind of like comparing my insurance salesman friend Ralph and my great aunt Ruthie.
I think there is an enormous difference in the two aspects. Neither is a positive. I would much rather see Ralph as the executor of my will as opposed to Ruthie. Perhaps because I think Ruthie in fact needs a guardian ad litem herself.
But, progressives (and you) are more than free to think that Ruthie should be the executor of my will as much as Ralph can. Free country, free choice in beliefs, and all that jazz.

Even if Biden was not in decline, he is advocating all the wrong things. But very politely, and being polite and advocating all the wrong things are what appeals to his base.

Well, it's slang for a clinical term.... schizophasia.... and we're talking about a mental disorder or defect and not merely a pattern of speech... so I think it matters.
It matters because if you define a term to mean anything from a rambling conversation (which many people without diagnosis do) to actual schizophasia (which people without diagnosis do not do) to forgetting how many states there are or which city you're delivering a speech in (which many people without diagnosis do) to forgetting people and relationships that you should know (which some people do but most people don't) then you can come up with thousands of examples to support a claim of mental incompetence... because you've chosen to use an improper and overly broad definition of mental incompetence. It'd be like saying Biden is 'mentally incompetent' because he supports things that I disagree with... and I think that's 'crazy'. That's an extreme example for clarity....not saying anyone did this.
The article you posted that I could read was written in a clinical manner. I believe the guy was a psychiatrist and he broke his evidence down into clinical areas. The 'call' for Trump to be tested was a call for clinical action by psychiatrists... picked up by others. The call for Biden to do the same is also. I believe if you're going to accuse someone of having mental competency issues, that you should describe actual mental competency issues. Narcissism, ego, rambling off topic (like almost every thread we post on here) are not issues of mental competency.

No one is certain if it's been there one hour or one day.
I find this approach works well except when I moved in with my ex and kids for several weeks during the ongoing pandemic.
