Rocket ʻ22 offer Elmore James from Cleveland Brush has committed to OU. Big get for them as James was looking like he might outgrow the MAC in his recruiting. Will be one of the more chiseled players to suit up in the league in a while. Had a junior year injury that probably kept his recruiting at the mid major level but is a really good prospect.

Highly rated Rocket '22 target Jevaughn Hannah pulls a shocker and commits to WMU. Huge MAC level recruit and a bummer that he didn't choose UT. Will be a tough guy to handle on the perimeter in the MAC West.

I guess Bates wants to keep his job also added 6'8 Fuller to the 2021 class.

It seems like a daunting challenge to get players to commit when you don't know how many roster spots will be open, if any at all.

I don’t think that’s it. Bates has done a great job recruiting at wmu and beat ut in another recruiting battle for owen lobsinger in this year’s class

Going a little off subject but I’ve been seeing some articles listing ryan rollins as a top returning player for next season, do you guys think he can work his way into a legit nba prospect??

I remember when TK first signed Rollins he said he had never went harder for or wanted a player as much as Rollins coming out of High School. His initial instincts sure seem to be spot on as Rollins started every game last season and was named MAC Freshman of the Year. Based on his performance last season, it looks like he has all of the tools to become an All League type player this season and a Player of the Year Candidate before he graduates. It just a matter of him not getting complacent and refining his skills which he has plenty of. If I saw a weakness in his game last season, it was most likely his outside shooting which was inconsistent from game to game. If he can improve on that aspect of his game while continuing to be a player that is hard to defend taking the ball to the basket, he is going to cause opposing teams major problems on their defensive end. As for being an NBA prospect, that will be determined by how much he continues to improve over the next 3 seasons and staying away from major injuries. Its an uphill climb for a player from a Mid Major to get to the NBA but Ohio U's Jason Preston showed that it can be done.
