3 Michigan State football players filed for a 6th year last season. No idea if they were approved.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought we were talking about the length of time you were allowed to stay at W&M to get an undergraduate degree.

We currently have a sixth year player in Miles Hayes.

RE: No CAA Football (announcement on 7/17 supposedly)
Did anyone else watch the presentation last night on W&M’s plan to return to school this fall.

I thought it was eye-opening regarding the complexity of the process. It seems to be very dependent on testing and, even with our new agreement with VCU, I am very skeptical that we can conduct enough testing and especially provide the quick turnaround required on it to be successful.

There is also a lot of expense involved. I was not aware that a special session of the GA has been called for August. Clearly and prudently the College seems to be expecting significant budgets from that session.

Given what I heard last night, I don’t see how any Virginia schools other than Tech & UVa (TV revenue) can be contemplating fall sports or frankly even moving fall sports to the spring.

Yeah, it was interesting insight, and I am not envious of the decision makers right now.

With all the extra safety procedures, it will cost W&M (Or any college) more money to deliver an inferior product. People don't want to pay the same amount of money, let alone more, for an inferior product. Bit of a catch 22 there.

I was a little surprised that 85% of our endowment was restricted, I would've thought it would be much higher. While I get that they don't want to dip into it too much, 100+ million is a hearty amount of discretionary funds, if needed.
