So have the Bristol Virginia cases, which will surprise no one who has seen the activity in the bars along State Street.
https://www.heraldcourier.com/news/local...aad76.html

Ballad Health COO Eric Deaton says that their Covid-19 patients are doubling every week.

Tennessee’s new cases hit 1,955 for the day on Friday. New cases in the U.S. hit 71,000 for the day according to https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Probably just a hoax which will disappear after election day, though, yes?

I’ve got to disagree with Fan1: there is not much expert controversy over what needs to be done (social distancing, masking, testing, contact tracing). Countries which have done this (European Union, South Korea, Taiwan, etc.) have generally done pretty well, even while cautiously reopening parts of their economy.

The disagreement is whether to follow the consensus of medical advice – and that is almost entirely a political disagreement.

After all, masks may be the devil’s work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqLkhxLp1fo

And as Ohio Republican legislator Nino Vitale says, we should NOT test for Covid-19!!! https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/09/politics/...index.html
Wonder where he got that idea?

Rod may be right. We may be bungling this less badly than Brazil. Hooray for us! Although, our Covid-19 numbers are still worse than Brazil in both cases per capita and deaths per capita. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ I’m glad to hear that President Trump’s friend Bolsonaro is taking his hydroxychloroquine. I wonder if the President has repeated his suggestion that they try injecting disinfectant or “introducing light into the body”?

Sorry to Fan1 if that seems to make our leader look foolish - but his words have consequences for us all. It's not too much to wish that he were actually following medical advice.

Nah — fan1 speaks with reason and balance. Trump, love him or hate him, Washington Dems and their liberal media comrades find NOTHING he says or does as credible. He could find a vaccine himself in a back lab of the White House to end COVID-19, pay for the vaccines for every American out of his own pocket, and these liberals would demand to see his tax returns to see how he itemized this. Of, they would bring more impeachment charges against him for abuse of power or failing to follow FDA guidelines. Hey, the man can do nothing right. They loathe him.

Can guarantee one thing, if Hillary Clinton occupied the WH, we would be at an entirely different place now, especially psychologically and emotionally — even with double or triple the cases and deaths because she would be presented by our mass information conglomerate as the compassionate, wise, and loving leader working 24/7, even as she made some missteps or uttered some misspoken words, at solving this crisis and winning this battle that deserved the support of the American people on par with that given Franklin Roosevelt during World Waf II.

Incidentally, I don’t like some of the stuff Trump utters and his unnecessary insults. Obviously, he ain’t Mr Charismatic — being just the opposite of Mr. Obama. But, considering the alternatives there in the deep state of CORRUPT Washington, one is forced to weigh the “less of the evils”.

WOW!

Somebody's swallowed the Koolaid!

This is what Trump means when he said "I could shoot somebody on 5th Avenue, and not lose any votes."

There are no facts that can convince some one who talks like '66. I can only take comfort in the fact that almost 3 million more Americans voted against the guy last time. And it looks like more will this time.

If Joe Biden is elected, you will have a lot of words to eat along with their brand of (socialism) Koolaid to drink. If you are unable to see the clear and present danger these RADICALS pose for the USA, then you and those 3 million+ voters in November will help plunge this country into hell. If Trump is as bad as you believe, then what about these RADICALS? They’re not worse? Trump looks like a rare statesman compared to these IDIOTS.

RE: 2020-2021 Schedule

Finally!

After over 3,200,000 U.S. cases. After over 135,000 U.S. deaths. 6 months into the pandemic.

Our President bravely wears a mask in public!

In another 6 months, he may try social distancing at one of his rallies.

Like the social distancing practiced during the riots, the looting, and the burning that those attacking Trump claimed posed no real health prolem. These are the people to which Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, et al are pandering. Yea, let’s defund the police and see which is worse, defending yourself against COVID-19 or these people as they come after you, your family, and your possessions —- while working to take away you First Amendment rights and your gun for defense while keeping their guns and/or their armed guards. Wake up, look what’s happening with the radical left, a radical left that has infiltrated far too much of the Democratic Party already. Trump ain’t the problem. He’s just a temporary obstacle in the path of the REAL problems facing America.

RE: 2020-2021 Schedule
As new (and MORE) information becomes available, things change, as someone who spends hours each day looking at raw data I understand that.
You have to sift through it, find what is important, make your initial conclusions but that doesn't mean you just stop, things change, you have to
be willing to change, if you got it wrong don't be stubborn, admit it, and adjust. At the same time you can't just wait for ALL the data before deciding.

Yes, medical and scientific information about this thing seems to change by the day. Obviously the health establishment was totally unprepared and has been forced into a MASSIVE defensive and reactionary mode. CONFUSION and MISTRUST reigns. Then toss in the unprecedented and outrageous political feud going on in Washington, not seen since pre-Civil War and Reconstruction, that got jacked up into the insanity category by the riots in the streets. Is there help on the horizon? It frankly doesn’t look very hopeful right now given the current players slugging it out in the Washington arena as November approaches. DISGUSTING! Hopefully we can bypass Washington as much as possible when a vaccine is available and turn to our doctors for direction.

And before someone says "well the science on masks changed". In 6 months did we learn more about masks than the previous 200 years?

How much longer are we going to keep up this bull****? Are we all just going to walk around with masks like Michael Jackson forever?

I'm at the point now where I just don't care if college and pro sports come back or not. It's time that these people live with the decisions they have made. NONE of these people have been making decisions based on what is best for everyone but have instead done what is best for them to cover their behind.

Here is the thing though. If these experts would just be honest and say "look, we dont know for sure if they work or not but we want to err on the side of caution and have people start wearing masks to see if it will slow the spread" I might have been a little more receptive. But to go from, "masks dont work" to "wear a mask or you a terrible person and dont care about anyone but yourself and you will kill people" I tend to get a little defensive.

Please note what Gupta said previously (end of article) about wearing masks and what he’s saying now:

CNN's medical expert says 'source' told him '80-90%' of COVID deaths could have been saved by scrapped WH mask plan
