Interesting. Facebook & Twitter banned Peter McCullough, MD, cardiologist & Vice-Chair of Medicine at Baylor when he posted his similar peer-reviewed study & article that was published in several medical journals several mos ago, showing similar results, to the study you linked. McCullough indicated natural antibodies resulting from Covid infection are "strong & enduring". When he testified before the TX legislature he indicated they were 8 mos into their study with NO indication that antibodies were diminishing.

It's a bit odd that the author claimed that "these antibody-producing cells can last a lifetime" when they've only been collecting data for about a year!

The cells might last a lifetime, but no one has any idea if they will keep preventing Covid-19 for a lifetime.

One wonders why most of the high viewership threads have been moved to the "Off-Topic" section, and

Whether they were all moved by one moderator, or

Was it a decision that they all agreed with..."

...even though some of the moderators were actively participating in those threads?

If they agreed, do they oppose discussion of the AAC's future on the main board?

If they don't agree, will they get together and rectify the situation?

not getting the shot myself. I'll just stick with fenofibrate.
But there is this...

https://medicine.wustl.edu/news/good-new...rotection/

Months after recovering from mild cases of COVID-19, people still have immune cells in their body pumping out antibodies against the virus that causes COVID-19, according to a study from researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Such cells could persist for a lifetime, churning out antibodies all the while.

The findings, published May 24 in the journal Nature, suggest that mild cases of COVID-19 leave those infected with lasting antibody protection and that repeated bouts of illness are likely to be uncommon.

“Last fall, there were reports that antibodies wane quickly after infection with the virus that causes COVID-19, and mainstream media interpreted that to mean that immunity was not long-lived,” said senior author Ali Ellebedy, PhD, an associate professor of pathology & immunology, of medicine and of molecular microbiology. “But that’s a misinterpretation of the data. It’s normal for antibody levels to go down after acute infection, but they don’t go down to zero; they plateau. Here, we found antibody-producing cells in people 11 months after first symptoms. These cells will live and produce antibodies for the rest of people’s lives. That’s strong evidence for long-lasting immunity.”

A thread to share positive news about Covid-19 Rx and vaccine developments
Fully vaccinated and happy to be so. No side effects. I’ve personally seen too many die from this. My good friend was an athlete his whole life, and passed away with no underlying conditions. He got a new variant up in Detroit. He had a wife and two young children.

Each their own in regards the vaccine, but why play with fire? You might not die, but you could pass it to someone else who could. Why risk it?

Good news. There is little risk of a fully vaccinated or recovered person catching CV-19 to date regardless of its variant. Similarly, there is little risk of a fully vaccinated person or recovered person to date transmitting CV-19 to date regardless of it variant.

Life is full of risks but without some risk there is no “joie de vie”.

The virus spread significantly lessens, but those who still catch it now have a better method of drug delivery.

“Regeneron’s Covid-19 Drug Is Authorized for Injection
FDA cleared a formulation of the antibody drug that can be injected, rather than administered by IV infusion”

The drug reduces by 70% the risk of hospitalization or death by 70% in people with mild to moderate symptoms.

RE: A thread to share positive news about Covid-19 Rx and vaccine developments
Novavax COVID-19 vaccine is 90.4% effective overall and 100% effective against moderate and severe disease in clinical trials. The company will seek FDA approval in the 3rd quarter.

The USA has more vaccines than needed internally. The shots may be donated to other countries.

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/06/14/novavax-...rter-.html

Please note the below about how efficacy is measured in the study.

"The company’s analysis evaluated 77 confirmed Covid infections among the trial’s 29,960 participants. Novavax said 63 cases of Covid were observed in the placebo group versus 14 cases observed in the group that received its two-dose vaccine. That resulted in an estimated vaccine efficacy of 90.4%, it said."

Therefore, a vaccinated person's odds of catching CV-19 is not based on the population at large, but in proportion to those infected without the vaccine. The odds of catching CV-19 in the study was only 0.257% (77/29,960). The odds of a vaccinated person catching CV-19 infection is even lower (at least in the study).

We are extraordinary blessed to have dedicated and talented men and women researching and finding better treatments and developing vaccines. The USA leads the way and I hope the conditions favorable to effective medicine never changes.

This is the one I got, so I guess I'm one of the 29,960. I'd recommend it. I had little side effects. I was a little sore after the second one. After an hour nap, I was good to go. I received the shots back in Jan/Feb. No issues.

RNA vaccines are over 90 percent effective on new Delta variant. Now there is a Delta plus variant that the news is absolutely salivating about. Vaccines will cover this too.
