This is what matters at the end of the day. A Duke who has had a successful career and has been involved with JMU (came back to campus and hosted more than one thoughtful dialog with students faculty and staff) is more than a significant percentage of our alumni do. Agree or disagree with his politics; fine. The guy's still a JMU grad and he can carry on a more educated conversation than a lot of people you encounter in an average day. No rule that says we all have to agree or disagree with somebody but we still need to respect their existence.

An ounce of respect would go a long way in the world these days
