Rehfeldt to Uconn
Surprised this hasn’t been started yet.

The current Uconn Strength Coach Sal Alosi wasn’t exactly in good graces. He had run-ins with everyone from Darrelle Revis to P-Diddy in his career.

Mike did an incredible job in his time here with the “Monster Factory”.

Is his wife doing to work at Espn in Briston, aka Elise Jesse? I read where someone thought that might be the case.

What’s Curtis Bostic up to these days? With a new staff this could re-open an opportunity for him to come back.

Especially since, with Cronin gone, there won't be any animosity employing someone who slept with his wife.

UC always seems to hire good people. Isn't another old S&C coach up at O$U now?

... but it is embarrassing to lose someone to [gag] UConn.

Rehfeldt has a secret potion that turns skinny twig armed sunken chested kids into Bjorn Ironside.

It’s only a loss if UC lacks the ability or will to replace him.

The timing stinks. Right now our available options would be to replace within, hire an asst. from another school or find a guy from a Lower level. Wonder if JB is going to give Brian Boos, his guy at NKU, a call.

I thought it was bostic and Alvin Mitchell. Bostic attended at least one game last season. Don’t know if he attended any in the previous 5 years.

RE: Rehfeldt to Uconn
I have no doubt we'll get a very good replacement. We've got really nice facilities, and a history which will attract the up and comers. Plus, i think Brannen will have a specific philosophy as well, and given it will be his hire i suspect he'll wish to put his stamp on it. Turnover is part of any business. I wish Mike and his family well, and try your best to enjoy Hartford.

A wise man posted be more concerned when no one wants to hire your employees, than when you lose a few.

Based on how much better Vogt looked after a few months in our strength program, it seems like it would be a step down.

I have heard a good AD always has a short list of HC replacements. I would assume a good HC should have a list of assistant replacements.

Bostic. I know Tate, and he's a straight shooter. No pun intended.

I feel like i heard this before...maybe 2 posts up? :)

There is no step down until we know who is hired. Bummer to lose someone good but Brannen has done a good job in his just over 1 year here. I think he will bring in a strength guy with Brannen's philosophy in mind and physically build the team to that. I'm not worried. Sounds like WLWT should worry (I don't know from experience) but I'm not worried about UC basketball.
