Just Coog'ed it up again
Funny coming from Marshall
Do you spend more time here than anywhere else. I wouldn't know what the @#$% goes on the AACk board. The last time I was even over there was 2 hours after Marshall beat Wichita State, just to see the meltdown.
How many programs does Houston have that is raked #1 in the nation, how many programs does Houston have that is the only place in the world that has accreditation for that program. Marshall has the #1 Forensic Science program in the nation and the only accredited computer forensic program in the world.
Marshall may have just been granted R2 status last year (same as SMU) but in a few years they will only be 4 degrees away from R1 status when the aviation and plane mechanics programs are implemented.
This Marshall administration won't set on their hands when they get that close either, I fully expect Marshall to be reclassified to an R1 by 2025-2027. Its just a matter of what degree's this administration decides to bring to Huntington.
In 2003 even, you might have gotten away with that comment. At that time Marshall's academics were more on par with Troy, Appy State, San Jose State and Coastal Carolina. We were still miles away from ever thinking about changing Carnegie Classifications. But that started to change in 2004 when the late Dr. Stephen J. Kopp arrived on campus. The changes to Marshall everyone sees was his vision, unfortunately he passed away on my birthday in 2014. But Dr Jerome Gilbert picked up where Dr Kopp left off and may have put his vision on steroids.
