School will open in Fall.
Back to school with no Fall break starting Aug. 17 and done a week before Thanksgiving. Decisions on athletics still to be made. From The Path Forward plan released today.

https://www.wm.edu/sites/pathforward/index.php

Athletics
William & Mary Athletics is working through several scenarios in order to welcome student-athletes back to campus as soon as we are able to under state and university guidelines. We are in the final stages of developing policies and procedures designed to promote the safety of our students, coaches, staff and fans, and allow us to return to training, practice and competition as soon as we are safely able to do so.

W&M Athletics is working in close coordination with the NCAA and CAA as we adjust schedules to mitigate as much risk as possible while remaining committed to providing our student-athletes the best possible experience.

We will adhere to federal, state and university guidelines as we determine the capacity of our athletics venues and adjust policies and procedures related to ticketing, parking, tailgating and food & beverage service as necessary.

W&M Athletics will communicate broadly using TribeAthletics.com, social media channels, and directly through email with up-to-date information.

RE: School will open in Fall.
If, as reported, the CAA breaks up into geographical "pods" this season, the breakup could look something like this:

North (6 teams): Albany, UNH, Villanova, Maine, Stony Brook, Rhode Island

South (6 teams): W&M, JMU, Elon, Richmond, Delaware, Towson

--

In the proposed "pod" scenario for CAA Football, W&M's schedule could look like this:

JMU x2 (1 home 1 away), Richmond x2 (1 home 1 away), Elon x2 (1 home 1 away), Delaware x1 (home), Towson x1 (away)

This scenario would satisfy the regular 8 CAA regular season games.

It was interesting that Coach mentioned Villanova X2 and not Delaware and Towson in his reported remarks.

Your idea makes the most sense to me, although I do enjoy the rivalry with Villanova more than Towson.

Given the natural rivalry between Delaware and Villanova, I could see the pods flipping Towson to the north and Villanova to the south.

Right -- interesting he said that, though things can always change! We'll wait and see what happens, but really not a massive difference either way for the Tribe.

I was thinking that we played Nova due to some sort of Towson/Delaware thing. Not that they particularly have a rivalry, but they are pretty close to each other.

CofC Women’s Soccer released their schedule. Two games against JMU - none against the Tribe.
