Video on 20 mile march organized by Carl Fowler and Michael Jackson over the weekend from Durham to Raleigh police headquarters. Bright futures. Carl's talk at Nate Evans' memorial service at Kaplan was very, very impressive.

They are less than $1800 away from meeting their fundraiser goal, if anyone wants to contribute. Let's get them over the top. Go Tribe!:

I see protesting, standing on its own, as a lazy means to gain public acclaim with no effort whatsoever. It's undeserved access to power...to claim membership to something impactful of which you contribute nothing. Same can be said for a blacked out screen, tying a bow around a tree, or adding a hashtag to one's handle.

Organizing a 20 mile march, to include coordinating with two police jurisdictions, raising money with a set goal/how to spend it, and all the outreach that goes along with it, is the furthest thing from lazy. It's inspirational and laudable. THAT'S how you make a difference.

Looks like they have passed the $20,000 mark. Lots of donors to the fund and an amazingly high number of walkers for 20 miles.
