Happy Birthday Big East

41 years ago today, the Big East formed with BC, UConn, Georgetown, Providence, Seton Hall, Syracuse and St. John's. Here's to many more seasons for the BIG EAST!

Look at those logos!! Nova kinda belongs there too, iirc. They agreed to join at the time, but a year later. That’s vs Pitt who agreed to join the year nova did. Distinction with difference

I can’t wait to get back to the Big East. 6 of the core 9 members are now here and Butler, Creighton, DePaul, Marquette, and Xavier fit the urban basketball school profile that the original core embodied.

Here is a nod to the good ol’ days to celebrate the 41st birthday:
