All of those places sound great. The wife and I will have plenty of options to choose from. This frito pie that you speak of sounds amazing.

Some Coloradans opened a sopapilla place in the town we live in several years ago. The Navajo fry bread it comes in is delicious but the meat they stuff it with is bland as can be. I think they tried to make a Yankee version and ruined it. I’d love to get ahold of the real deal and some flavor and spice.

I actually saw the Aggies play a few years back—they were in Athens and took a beating from OU. I really hope you guys can land a spot in a FBS conference—independence has to be terrible.

Andeles in Las Cruces has the best Green Chicken Enchiladas. They're Chile con Queso which is their green sauce used on the enchiladas is hell good especially on french fries. I'm even a descendant of the first Spanish settlers to New Mexico in 1598 but still prefer Southern New Mexican food over Northern New Mexican food.

Northern New Mexico food is influenced by the first Spanish settlers to New Mexico and the Pueblo people. Southern New Mexico food influenced by the people of Northern Mexico. Even though I'm a descendant of the first Spanish settlers, most of my ancestry comes from Northern Mexico. So probably why I prefer Southern New Mexican food over Northern New Mexican food.

I'm a convert from ABQ. Have converted some family and firends. We order out chile from LC.

I like Maria’s in Santa Fe - less touristy than a lot of places in Santa Fe. Great food, plus a gazillion different margaritas to boot. Also I love The Shed in SF, in spite of the tourists.

I live in AZ, the only Mexican food place I frequent here is Si Senor. I actually think the one here is better than the one back in Las Cruces. That's not to say there aren't much better Mexican food restaurants back in Las Cruces in total. When I went to college back in the 1990's my favorite places to eat were Nellies, Nopalitos, and Los Compas, and The Spanish Kitchen. They were good back then. Not sure how they are now?

The Si Senor in LC is not very good. But when you do not have many options (AZ), it is amazing. I lived in Phoenix for a few years and Si Senor had good NEW Mexican food for the region. Frank and Lupe's also has good NEW Mexican food in the Phoenix area.

If I really think about it, the best Mexican food anywhere is at home. No one makes better Mexican food then mom.

Drove through NM back in January. We stopped at a place called Marias in Santa Fe. I thought it was pretty darn good! would definitely stop there again. I dont even remember what I ate though, they have like 100+ tequilas.

Maria's is EXCELLENT. So many good restaurants in Santa Fe. I'm from Pojoaque (hence my handle). It's only 15 miles north of Santa Fe.

Now this might start a debate, but whatever. Maria's is good, but La Choza is excellent. And their house margaritas are better.

I probably drove through there on my way to and from Pagosa Springs, CO
