WHAT YOU HEARING ....
From what I'm hearing seems like several schools are looking at taking sports (read: fb/bb) back to the 1980s in terms of what they will support.

If put in place this would mean a lot of NCAA legislated and organized off-season conditioning and practice time for these sports/athletes will be lost as well.

Get ready folks, this is going to get ugly!!!

And of course, the MAC will do it but none of the other D1 fb/bb leagues will follow suit ... meaning the MAC will fall farther behind in both sports.

There is going to be pressure for salary haircuts. Especially at the top with P5 and the AAC.

This might speed up movement to an 8 team playoff as a way of providing another revenue source from the loss of ticket revenue which will be long term, structural and severe. The reason is boomers who are 60, 65, 70 years old are going to retire out of season tickets over COVID.

The MAC should be fine since they don't have a lot of skin in the game from the donor base. Some will bring new hires in for less but like 5 or 10 years ago less.
