Saw on Twitter Hafford has withdrawn his transfer and will complete his playing career at Tarleton.

Well the Big Ten reverses their decision and will now playing football this fall.

Per the Northeastern Twitter account, Tarleton vs Northeastern Riverhawks, March 27 in Stephenville. 6 pm. President Hurley said we are playing MSU Texas March 20 for homecoming. Also been told our first FCS game will be against McNeese in Stephenville. Don’t know the date.

I've heard that the first game was scheduled for Feb. 6, at home in Stephenville, but that has now changed with the "season" opener set for Feb. 13, at Memorial Stadium vs. McNeese (time TBD). Still no word on when the full schedule will be released publicly. I'm thinking there's an open week waiting to be filled once the Southern Utah move to the WAC is announced, and that game will be cemented on the schedule.

Really hoping we get a trip to Las Cruces.

Nice. The old rival is Midwestern St. for Homecoming, and I think we open up at home against McNeese. That's all I got.

Hoping one of the other 4 D1's is ACU. We need to rekindle that rivalry for sure.

Oh for sure. Just saying I wouldn't be surprised. McNeese has kind of fallen off and don't be scared of NMSU's FBS label. I love those Aggies and wish them the best but man they're bad. I feel terrible for them and their situation.

NMSU isn't good, but Tarleton is just now FCS. Granted, ACU almost beat them when they were in their first year in D1. McNeese, other than when we played them a few years ago, I don't know much about them.

Still, looking forward to Tarleton football even if it is in the spring.
