When I saw Hunt's personal best's in high school track I knew he could be really special.

HJ 6-8
LJ 23-3
100m 10.8
200m 23.7

Not many have those stats. From watching him my thought, he must have great visual memory, know where the defense was and will be. He seemed to know whether to step left, step right to avoid tackles coming from behind. Saw him do that so many times. That gave him one more step for the acceleration to get him to speed.

You might be thinking Bryce Mitchel from Bowsher. He won state in the LJ. Hunt was pretty far down the list in both LJ and HJ.

It's funny how Terry Swanson had exceptional numbers as well but for some reason Hunt was more awe inspiring. I don't remember much of Tait but Chester is the only other back to have that ambiance around him, and you knew if he got the ball something special would happen. Koback, Dawson, Parmelle, Fluellen etc all are awesome but Hunt was just different. He's still one of the only backs in the NFL that would truly scare me. Chubb had the upper hand starting the first 8 games but I could definantly seeing that position being a battle and Kareem taking the majority of carries by seasons end.
