This is just an update but it does mention us as a top collegiate organization

Checks newspaper story...sees ECU mentioned as a continued member... is thankful.

Should be good for the American, it’s close to D/FW and centrally located.

RE: AAC move to Las Colinas
The move makes sense for conference geography reasons and for having the conference headquarter located in a major market.

I read elsewhere that the AAC still plans on holding the AAC media day and clambake in Newport, RI. It is a cool event, but it will be inconvenient for many members for travel. Wouldn’t it make more sense for the AAC to create something new and host a cool BBQ event in Memphis or Texas?

Lobsters are awesome, but so is BBQ.

I bet it eventually goes away. May take a while, but once the powers that be are no longer in the area ties will be severed.

That's a 3.5 hour commute each way for a construction job. He's dedicated.

Does this move signal western expansion by the Conference?

YES.

ESPN does not want to give up the Mountain Time Zone. And the American is the best vehicle to keep that from happening.
