RE: CIT/CBI
The NIT needs to extend to 64 teams and include one team from each conference, like the WNIT. Teams like W&M deserve to play in the postseason, but I can understand why nobody seems to want to play in the CBI/CIT because they're crap tournaments. If they could make the NIT like the WNIT, then every team that deserves to play in the postseason will get their shot. Top mid-majors who didn't finish 1st or win their championship will still get a 2nd chance to prove themselves. And it would bring more money into the NCAA and put the CBI/CIT out of their miseries. Win/Win for everyone.

No, we don't belong in the NIT.... And expanding the field to 64 would practically make the regular season worthless. I don't need to see power conference teams with losing records in the postseason

No fans at NCAA events, so I would assume the CIT will be cancelled too

NCAAT will have no fans in attendance?

I'm kinda glad we didn't make it.

So from what I’ve been able to gather, the Athletics department, coaches, and staff are meeting tonight to discuss the developments of the College’s decision to have online classes until April 3rd. Prayers for good news and to those affected right now

From President Rowe’s letter on the W&M website:

“Division I Athletics will operate within the policies of its governing bodies, the CAA and NCAA, and be subject to university health protocols.”

You are overestimating what the attendance is currently for the NIT and what additional teams would bring. It'll cost more to add teams to the NIT that they will make.

No way the NCAA continues their season, right? Seems weird to make the amateurs play while the professionals aren’t playing.

Pros would still be playing except one player tested positive and every team has played that team or a team that played that team within the past 5 games. If any NCAA basketball player tests positive, it'll probably get shut down or postponed at least.

I give it to the second round before the tourneys are postponed (ie player sick). Most epidemioloists agree there is no way to stop this now...just trying to soften the blow to the hospitals by slowing the transmission rate.
