Not really sure why they give the 2 seed the 3rd game of the day at 6pm, but the 3/4 seed gets the 2nd game at 2pm.

Hopefully the opponent goes to triple OT tonight.

The 2 PM game is Delaware/Charleston. They play Hofstra on Monday at 6 Towson/NE plays at 8:30. Whoever wins the W&M/Elon or JMU game will have a little bit more rest.

Kind of glad Elon won. Still think JMU has way more talent than them and would be worried if they put it together for a game against us...

Elon is also a much slower tempo team than JMU so hopefully we wont be as fatigued from playing Elon.

That being said... Put Loewe on Sheffield and don't let them get open looks from 3 and good things will happen

Elon will hit lots of 3's. It's what they do. They are a volume 3 point shooting team with good shooters. I like our chances in any CAA game if we shoot a decent %, value the ball(keep turnovers down), and hit our free throws. Key against Elon is keeping their 3fg% reasonable and hitting our foul shots. With our natural advantages, just doing those two things, IMO, and would probably bring a victory. Not that we should need a reminder, but JMU illustrated why no lead is too great against Elon and you can't get comfortable.

Are they missing their starting big guy?

Simon Wright was in a walking boot yesterday. Don't know how serious.

Simon Wright plays the 4 for them. He was in a walking boot yesterday. Ervin was the other forward and he's been out for the last couple of weeks (maybe the year). They started a lineup yesterday with the tallest two players being 6'6" (Hannah and Woods). All we need to do togay is to pound it inside and rack up the fouls. Last game, Loewe got into foul trouble. If he's on Sheffield for 32 minutes today, I like our chances.

Only concern is Elon shot the ball poorly in the first game. If they worked that out in the new arena and are more comfortable in their second game, I'd be worried if we arent able to match their success. No one seems to be mentioning it but I can see Nate forcing to try and get the points record. What was tricky last game was Luke in foul trouble. If that's avoided (so we dont have to play Thornton Scott) then we should be able to neutralize their perimeter play. Scheffield against Thornton, as it was a lot last week, just seems to be asking for disaster.

If Nate was forcing it for the points record, he would’ve already had it.
