It's not fair to them. The kids didn't ask for this. They're doing what is asked of them. Grow up. I've been on the record in favor of making a leadership change.
Yeah, I agree with you about the kids. My commentary is directed at attempts to marginalize the general anger and outrage. After 2 decades folks have every right to vent (appropriately and within bounds) all they want.
This can’t continue to be deflected by decision makers as “well, the coach didn’t meet expectations” and wash their hands of it. The coach did meet expectations, they were just the only ones too clueless to foresee it.
Just cause Lou takes blame doesn’t get them off the hook and mean we have to “move on”. These guys need to wallow and simmer in this sh!t stew they’ve been feeding us.

The supposition is, that he will be. One thing is for sure. He won't be fired for winning 21 games.

This team is hard to watch. ... These guys have zero basketball IQ and look lost on the court most of the time.
Uhh... it's kinda "bashing". Don't hang it on the kids man hang it on the coaches. Wait, you don't have to because the head coach has accepted the blame. Let's all move on
Yeah at this point people might as well be posting that water is wet and grass is green. Everyone knows. Lou knows! Any day now Lou will be gone and no one will be arguing with that decision.
The kids obviously are a different case, and that’s always a fine line when discussing anything negative about student athletes. One thing that is for sure is that they haven’t been well coached the last four years. Plenty have shown at least some solid potential.
I’ll be surprised if we don’t have a couple transfer out, I hope it isn’t a mass exodus though. A good coach will be able to fill a couple holes pretty well, but no matter how good he is at recruiting we don’t want a full team of freshmen and new juco transfers. Christmas was one of the highest rated recruits JMU has ever landed, Lewis could’ve transferred to a much bigger program this past offseason if he wanted. They both clearly have potential and I would love to see them in purple and gold with a better coach. Banks, Wilson, Parker at least would also leave holes that aren’t easy to fill. Wooden has really showed some potential.

A lot has been made of the great coaching job done by W&M's new guy this year (and rightfully so). Looks to me like Elon's admin deserves a bunch of credit for their solid hire as well. They lost quite a bit off of last year's team as well and they are sitting in the CAAT semifinals now. Their head coach spent time working under Bobby Knight and Mike Krysjad;sjdajsdjjasndjansdkjnasdkjnaskdnskandnskdklsmdkmsdkmsdski. Relatively new arena. New direction. I'm hopeful JMU can be in the same position a year from now.

I continue to see posters speak of talent on this team, there's simply very little talent but we do have athleticism. Larry Bird wasn't very athletic but rather full of talent and had a total understanding of the game. He knew how to get the most out of his teammates. He was almost always in the right position and directed others to what they need to do. In addition, he could score. We need a strong on talent player who can make these athletes win. Lou never brought in that type player. I'm not saying the next LB, but we needed a leader.

Heh, maybe we should poach him, worked out pretty well for football
At a second glance, it’s hard to look past 13-20, even if it is Elon.
