BET Scenarios
so looking-
8 Georgetown, 9 St John's, and 10 DePaul have clinched their seeds.

5-7 seeds
If Butler wins, they're 5 seed, Marquette is 6 seed, and Xavier is 7 seed.
If Marquette and Xavier wins, Marq 5 seed, Butler 6 seed, Xavier 7 seed.
If St John's and Xavier wins, Marq 7 seed. 5/6 seed will hinge on the Creighton/Seton Hall game. SH wins- Xavier 5 seed, Butler 6 seed(X 1-1 vs SH, Butler 0-2 vs SH). Creighton wins- Butler 5 seed Xavier 6 seed

1-4 seeds
Creighton/Seton Hall for 1 seed.
If Villanova wins, they're 2 seed no matter what. Loser of Creighton/SH game 3 seed no matter what, PC 4 seed.

If Nova loses- if SH wins, SH 1 seed. Add to this- if PC wins- 3 way tie for 2nd. looking at it- all 3 are 1-1 vs each other. All 3 are 1-1 vs Butler. Would depend on if next team was Xavier or Marquette.

If Marquette- Creighton and Providence are 2-0 vs Marquette, Nova is 1-1 vs Marquette. So Creighton 2, Providence 3, Villanova 4.

If Xavier- Creighton and Nova are 2-0 vs Xavier, PC is 1-1 vs Xavier. So Creighton 2, Villanova 3, Providence 4.

If Nova loses, Creighton wins. Creighton 1 seed. SH 2 seed. 3 seed would hinge again on Xavier/Marquette with if Marquette is higher Providence 3 seed, Nova 4 seed. If Xavier higher Nova 3 seed, Providence 4 seed.

RE: BET Scenarios
so looking at times-
noon- Nova @ Georgetown, Marquette @ St John's
230- Seton Hall @ Creighton
630- DePaul @ Providence
830- Butler @ Xavier

If Marquette wins at noon, Xavier is 100% locked into 7 seed.
If Villanova wins at noon, Providence is 100% locked into 4 seed. Nova clinches 2 seed.

RE: BET Scenarios
It's a Christmas miracle we are locked-in to no-worse than the 7 seed. We are arguably the least competitive team at the moment.

This assessment suggests the work of a veteran, skilled mathematician. Not surprisingly, I don't understand any of it.

I do take exception with the phrasing of DePaul "clinching" the No. 10 seed. Seems "limped into" that seed would have been more accurate.

A wild finish is slated.
