RE: JMU WBB at Elon 3/5 @ 7 PM
Um, Drexel did not beat JMU on the road. And they barely beat UNCW last night. 2 points. They may have beaten the CAA *tournament* champions but they did not beat JMU.

I set a challenge for you on our board because I think you would be very surprised at attendances for women's basketball across the country. Pick a benchmark you consider good attendance then take a guess out of the 351 women's programs how many meet that benchmark. Don't look it is up, either.
And you haven't explained why your team played like a bunch of high-schoolers the past 2 games, either. They were sad.
I'm not sure how you can say that Drexel played like high schoolers the past two games. Drexel won both of those games. They beat the defending CAA Champions on the road, and then won again last night. Anybody who knows anything about basketball wouldn't call those games high school performances. Drexel is not built to win games pretty, but they are an experienced team that finds ways to win. Their shooting wasn't good last night, but they played incredible defense to still pull out a win while almost every other college team would have lost with that type of shooting performance.
Most of the fans on these boards are very respectful of other programs and their fans, especially when they venture to another school's message board. I'm not sure what caused you to be so bitter as to troll Drexel's boards with such rudeness.
Now OTP is stirring up trouble on other team's message boards.
I only went there because i wasn't sure whether i'd get an answer here. I won't bother going there again. And that WAS a terrible game by both teams. Did you bother to watch it?
I was busy watching the very sloppy game played at Elon.

I was at the game. Offensively it wasn't pretty, but if you focus on defense, it was actually well played. Great defense on both sides had a lot to do with why it was appeared to be so sloppy. This is how Drexel plays and wins a lot of games. Denise and Amy can't get the best athletes to come to Drexel, so they have a system that's successful. They haven't won a championship in a long time, but they still win a lot of games.

Wait so when talking about the defending conference champion you don't consider the team that went dancing to be the champion? Interesting take.

OtoP is a self-important WBB fan who isn’t a JMU alum & thinks people in the CAA NEED her help understanding the intricacies of the game. Please don’t let her taint your view of JMU fans.

She also thinks Tennessee is a better team than JMU despite every metric saying otherwise.

HyperDuke is a high-nosed, self-important JMU Alum who thinks all JMU fans who are NOT JMU alums are beneath his contempt.
Tennessee beat JMU the last time they played. Badly. This year's Tennessee team might beat them again, who knows? But then again, they might not. it depends on the night. If Tennessee hadn't stunk up the court last night, they might have met in the NCAA. Alas, not to be. They'll both likely be 12 seeds, assuming JMU wins the CAA tournament. Show us your "metrics".
(Hint: W-L isn't a metric.)

If you have nothing nice to say... Wish more board members took this advise and stuck to the topics at hand.

dan10 and all, there are too many mid-majors to list that are in the 1k-2k average attendance range. However much we may not wish to acknowledge it, Drexel and JMU are considered by most to be in that category. Here's a link to the list. Peruse it at leisure. Some of them may surprise you. http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/w_basketba...d/2017.pdf
