Rowe said they made adjustments by putting in Christmas and Wooden n and made stops. That's why it was much closer in the 2nd Half. Dave Thomas said it wasn't like Hofstra cleared the bench or put in the managers.

Rowe still spinning it. He won't resign come the 8th of March 2020 but he should.

This season can't end soon enough.....

Wilson and Jacobs can start coming off the bench. Nice to have a guy in the 5 spot who can actually dunk it.

I’m not exactly sure what you expect from the home team play-by-play? He tried to pull some positives out of the obvious blow-out. I don’t really see that as a bad job on his part . Whatever you wanted, I’m ok with him not doing it .

Halz87 it's a spin job I realize it. You'd have to be blind not to see that the product despite last weekend's valiant effort a home isn't cutting it. I don't want him to be a hack when it comes to postgame news conference but I also want him to quit kissing our over his head coach's a**…...

That is embarrassing. A CAA team stopped trying to score to aviod 100 points against a JMU team with two CAA wins. I would rather see the 100 plus score than know jmu is officially no longer competitive in a watered down one bid CAA.

Bourne should offer a public apology and offer hope by stating he and King will no longer take part in mbb decisions.

and the VP of Admin and Finance who shouldn't be anywhere near sitting in on the selection of the new HC other than consulted when getting ready to make an offer to the candidate to see if he'll agree to the salary guaranteed or promised in the contract.

I am beginning to accept that JMU will not be able to pull off a splashy coaching hire. It's a tough spot, keep LR and duck tar and feathers or hire the next coach that can't recruit our own state because the program has been burned down by a previous president, a retiring vp of operations and a retiring AD.

The spin on the new arena will be epic

And whatever consultants they deem necessary for this search need to be forceful. King will undoubtablt waffle about $$. Someone, who is actually in the know, needs to pull him aside and say" Charlie, it's not 1997 anymore....Move forward or move aside."

That’s just regular season finale. CAA tournament starts the week after that, and it should be a barnburner. Hoping Coach O can get us back to the dance.

Seriously though, I am impressed with those of you who can still watch our men’s team play. Rowe seems like a good guy, and none of the players have represented our school badly to my knowledge, so I don’t mean any disrespect to them as people. However, it’s been a long time since I’ve been able to decide that watching this team is a good use of a couple of hours of my day. (And I watch by far the most JMU sports games out of the people I know in real life.) It’s just so pointless to even try to watch when it’s 99% or more likely that our team is going to lose.

I don’t think I’ve ever had this pessimistic of an outlook on a JMU team. All the good teams from Virginia left the CAA, and we’re the literal worst team in a conference nobody cares about.

Yeah MBB sux. We are lucky to have our amazing WBB team. Anyone who has made an effort to watch them knows how consistently good they are.

RE: JMU at Hofstra 2/29 4pm
Man if I were a player I'd be more humiliated by a team running out the shot clock to avoid hitting 100 than I would by anything on the scoreboard. Just like against Rhode Island a while back in football, the opponents kneeling on the one yard line with 10 minutes left would be more embarrassing to me than any score could ever be.

I'm very curious to see whether Rowe resigns or is fired. Regardless, please please please JMU be willing to pay a salary that's at least close to the top of the CAA. It's going to be enough of an uphill battle without handicapping ourselves by hoping some $300k/year coach will work out. Any hire for $500k+ is going to make it a lot easier to be hopeful for the future even if this next one doesn't pan out. Less than that feels like giving up and praying we eventually grab the right guy out of the bargain bin.

If they give him the same deal as Keener, he will resign but get paid his final year buyout as if he was fired.

I mostly avoided the Keener years. I had better things to do for sure, and am planning to go back to doing that. Definitely a waste of time and energy to try to care. Bourne clearly doesn't and he still gets his fat paycheck. But nobody pays me to put up with this trash of a program.

Joe mihalic is all class. He knows what is going on and stopped scoring. Up 90 60with like 8 minutes left
Began holding ball. I did think in last 2 minutes he was a bit annoyed that lou didnt sub. Score was no where indicative of game. Complete blow out. These guys are not playing for coach.

JMU at Hofstra 2/29 4pm
I was traveling today so luckily I didn't see any of the game. Just looked at the box score. I know we have been beating a horse but Holy ****, 61 first half points? I believe the average game total points scored in the NCAA is in the high 60s. From all accounts Hofstra called off the dogs midway through the 2nd half. Just when you think it can't get any lower. On the bright side only 1 game left in this nightmare.

I didn’t watch the game but heard on the news Hofstra hit 20 3s. Is that right? That has to be some kind of record against JMU. What a total beat down. The LR era and this season can not end fast enough.
