Anyone notice how literally the day after DavidSt posted this the USC AD is now exploring independence which would spark western realignment?

DavidSt possesses a cosmic effect that sets the realignment universe in motion.

Actually when the California schools dropped football? They had ADs or school Presidents who were from private schools who were anti-football. The football would be alive today if there were pro-football leaders in those position. The head coach of Long Beach State was a former head coach of a NFL team got something lined up for Long Beach State to stay FBS in the 1990s with a brand new stadium for the school which would be backed by a NFL team owner at the time. Before things were approved, the anti-football AD and President pulled the trigger to kill the football team. The coach lined up the money to saved the program. If they did not killed the program? Long Beach State would have been in the MWC instead of San Jose State.

Interesting. If I were hypothetically to sit down with four other posters on this board to talk college sports and other topics, DavidSt would likely be in that quartet.
