Verbal Commits is reporting that ETSU has offered 7 foot Juco Souleymane Doumbia for next year. It is an interesting offer because he is drawing interest from Georgia, Houston, Cincinnati, Alabama, TCU and Seton Hall and probably others. Normally I would have thought this was a bit of overreach, but with our new coaching staff, who knows?

Love to hear the story about how he got from there to here (Kid from Cleveland, TN makes sense) Glad to hear, more bodies for practice but his stats didn't look Div I scholarship worthy.

Yeah I said More bodies are good. Problem with film you see highlights.
He shot 28.5% from the floor and 26% from 3 last year.
Looks like a really good ball player. I hope we get him!
I can't tell if it is the video but to me his release on the 3 seems a bit slow,
very smooth shot, but maybe a little low (starting) and slow on release but camera angle sucks on most of them or it could be the edit.

But yeah looks like he has potential
That's an *incredibly* slow and low release. He was too weak when he was small to develop a real J, so this is how he learned to shoot, just to be able to get the ball to the basket. Lots of young players will do that. A good coach or two along the way could have possibly gotten him out of that style. Harder to do now, but not impossible (for some players).
Other than that..............he's got a body (esp. the arms) a little like Tirade, but smaller. Good first step, good hands (can't really tell the handle from those vids). Doubt he'll want to come here, but who knows?

I get called out a lot for being too negative, was trying to be nice.
But he does seem to be very athletic.4 years (maybe 5) he could be
solid.

Verbal Commits reporting Richard Amaefule [/align]6’8” center from London England has committed to ETSU for the 2020 season. Not sure how that is going to work.
Interesting indeed. He is a 3 star player with offers from New Mexico, San Diego, Western Kentucky, LSU and TCU. So is he paying his own way or is someone leaving/losing their scholarship?
Heiar recruited him while at LSU, he didn't play at all last year due to injury which slowed down his recruiting.

Diamond in the rough! He looks more like a skilled PF than a C to me. Handles the ball, shoots with range (nice pullup J), hustles and plays defense. We just need him healthy. Who knows what’s up with the scholarships, lol.
