This is correct. He's actually pretty favorable to the American and when factoring out UCONN last year, had us better than the ACC.

His numbers for betting purposes are more accurate than any other out there - I think his win rate last year was in the mid 60%. The American is 6th but the gap between 6th and 2nd is smaller than 6th and 7th. As a conference we're really just in no-man's land. Not quite the level of Power 5, but far better than any other G5 conference.

I think the biggest thing that separates us is not having 1 or 2 teams that regularly hang out in the Top 10 of the polls. Basically we don't have a blue-blood in this conference. That's about the only big difference.

I hear your struggles. Give up your victories. Let UCF become that blue blood.

For the good of the conference.

We'll be long gone before UCF is considered a blue blood, hell we're not even 60 yet! Counting the football program even younger (1979, D1 1996)

Nothing new. SP+ also had UCF ahead of Memphis & UC at the END of 2019. I consider it more of a betting tool than rankings. He takes into account how a team lost, how much they controlled the game, luck, etc. He also had the AAC ahead of the ACC.

Final SP+ 2019

UCF #13
Memphis #17
Navy #25
Cincinnati #31
SMU #40
Tulane #42
Temple #62
Tulsa #68
Houston #83
South Central #103
ECU #117
UGone #126

We also have AAC champions and NY6/BCS bowls. Something teams like UC dream of. 07-coffee3

Dang, 4 big East conference championships in a better league to 1 shared one. They sound elite. Was the Belk bowl or Liberty bowl cincy’s best bowl win?

Don't matter. Enjoy your little wins that happened while UC was rebuilding. They coming for that throat now. I hope y'all enjoyed your little time at the top because it has ended. UC gonna come to y'all foil stadium and make last season look like child's play

The AAC is well positioned to earn a NY6 bowl slot again next year. Inch by inch, the P6 initiative gains steam.

Agreed ucf, Memphis and Cincinnati should all be top 30 teams. All have the potential to be top 15 teams if things go right.

The good thing is the Memphis v. Cincy v. Uct will be decided on the field since we all play each other.

Hopefully UNC lives up to its hype. With a opening day win against them, and then if they challenge Clemson, could do wonders for the UCF SOS. Add a ranked Cincy and Memphis, along with another ranked team in the AAC CG, if UCF makes it...... that's a strong resume.

Wait, I thought all the redshirts were so Houston would kill everybody this coming season? I know we heard that day after day on here for months.

I’d agree with that. Only big loss was the HC it will take time to see how the new guy does I guess.

Agree. If the Cotton Bowl is any indication (Silverfield's first game coaching), we will continue to have a killer O and a soft D.

Just like how Memphis was supposed to win the national title in hoops?

Ok. Wait. Please explain this to me.

SMU beats TCU last year at their place, 41-38.

SMU returns 8 on offense, 6 on defense, and loses both worthless kickers.
TCU returns 6 on offense, 5 on defense, and both solid kickers.

SMU loses the best player on either side of the ball, both off to the NFL combine.
TCU loses the five best players on offense, arguably their top two on defense, all off to the NFL combine.

Preseason rankings:
TCU #36
SMU #56
