Repeating myself, but I love these moves. Firstly, these guys want to be here; they're all about Tribe Football. Secondly, they may not have a footprint in EJ's areas, but I really think London wants to recruit VA hard. It makes a lot of sense to do so...tons of talent a saves money. Taylor's Hampton Roads roots can help with that.

I don't know if he will push California and I'm not sure it's worth it.

Ras-I Dowling played at Deep Creek (Chesapeake) and UVA, so I’d think he’d have some local connections as well. Need to cultivate that for sure.

Evidence continues to pile up that Taylor is, indeed, on staff.[Image: 3b2645124a8e0d3c7011909bf6730733.jpg]

Still to early to call, but it's looking like Taylor is our OC.[Image: 34f81730840630f64697b2d8d7cec319.jpg]

I think you are being a little too presumptive. I'm going to need a little more proof.

Former LB Nate Atkins Twitter bio states he is a graduate assistant with the team. Congrats to him.

Awesome! I know this was a big career aspiration for him, so that’s fantastic!

This is about the least surprising jump to the coaching ranks I've ever seen. Always such a heady guy.

Great to see Jack "The All-American Boy" Armstrong on the staff. A heady receiver, he will add alot to our staff.

All of this just shows you how well our football program prepares kids for leadership positions with an enormous amount of responsibility and accountability. Something to be really proud of.

OT: I see Furman just named Kevin Lewis DL coach. Army let him go after one season? Seems weird.

Maybe I'm just drinking Kool-Aid, and I know that continuity is normally good for offenses, but I think we got an upgrade going from Marion to Taylor

Me too. I was never a fan of so called go-go offense. I am excited to see what Taylor can bring.

I agree.

And we will have a coach focused on the team and not on himself.

Army didn’t like their DC of one year so moved him into an admin position. Most of not all other position coaches went away because of that I’m assuming.

Not every guy coming into the program desires to make coaching their profession, but those that do seem to do well. It isn’t an easy profession to get started in. Nate Atkins is as good as they come. He was a coach on the field last year and that will transfer into his role this year.

Pretty sure it makes all of us. Anyone NOT agree that Taylor's an upgrade and won't be looking for his next job from Day 1?

I agree with your response, but I wasn't limiting my statement to coaching. Lots of our players have gone on to great things out of football entirely.
