Favorite TDs?

03-idea

In no specific order.....

- Hines 4th an 1 TD versus Furman (Dukaholic & I had the longest man hug)
- Cortez Thompson punt return versus UD (One of many Key plays in 2004)
- McGee last second punt return at RU (most streamers at a road game except for 2004 National Championship)

We've had some great TDs through the years.

Whatever happened to Dukaholic. He and SuperFan were mega zealots back in the day. Do either even occasionally post?

He's around and he was in Frisco for at least a couple of the games. I think he was living up in Michigan at least for a bit. Don't think he posts on the boards though.

Not heard or seen Super for a long time.

Dukaholic (remember the picture we used to have of someone looking like him in skimpy cloths - I think vacuuming 03-lmfao). Married, moved to Michigan, and I think he came back to DC. Stayed a big fan of the Nats, JMU, and I think the Caps. He still comes to the big games for these teams.

I guess they both matured too much for the board.

I played Chris (Holic) in a pickup hoops game over at ISAT once while we were in school. Best shooting game of my life.

Not sure this will benefit him being hired in the future.

Perhaps laying low might have been a better option.

His coaching career was teetering on the edge and he just sunk it with this lawsuit.

Looks like Chris is fighting back for his job. He is taking UTC to court under violations of his 1st amendment rights being violated. May be the start of ending this “CancelCulture”. What he said was not racial just derogatory of Ms Abraham’s size, and stature.

Malone "“I’ve coached more than 20 years, including at an HBCU school,” Malone said in the release. “I’m a good coach and get along with everyone. I criticize the wrong politician and suddenly I’m racist? That’s completely false and a very tired cliché, I might add.”

Maybe I missed it, but has anyone seen where persons at UTC called him a racist and used that as a basis to fire him?

This court case will be interesting to follow.

Does an institution need a reason to release anyone? Seems to me that at most Malone might be owed the balance on his contract, and then be qualified for unemployment.

RE: 2020 CAA football offseason thread
The argument would be whether he was fired with or without cause. If fired without cause, then he is owed what is left on his contract. If fired with cause, like if he violated a morals clause that might be in his contract, then he is owed diddly squat. Maybe a settlement is going to happen here. What's interesting is that he claims he was not representing the school when he tweeted, but if his bio says "assistant coach at UTC" does he have a leg to stand on there? We can't check his Twitter account, since he deleted it. Also, I have not heard anyone at the school label him a racist, but I'm sure others on Twitter have labeled him as such.

I think he’s looking for a settlement (which may be his best outcome). Whether he’s a racist or not a racist is besides the point, unless he’s suing for defamation. I would be very surprised if any official at the university said such in public (that Malone was a racist) and that statement has become part of the official record.

The plain fact is he worked at the pleasure of the university, which became “unpleasured” because of his outspokenness. He had the right to say what he wanted to say, but there are consequences when the boss feels your statements or public behavior have embarrassed the company.

Having a “filter” may rub some people as restrictive or as an aspect of censorship, however, common sense tell us that there are times to zip it.

Well stated.

Also, thanks for recognizing my “question” on racist/non-racist.

I have not seen or searched for the lawsuit, and that article may have left other context out before that quote I shared. However, you made my point.
