There is a push for it by alumni and some who even ran for student government, but it most likely won't happen. The possibility of a a fifth BCS bowl in Orlando would be nice and would help the community, but I fear that it might set back a drive to build a on-campus stadium. If the Citrus Bowl gets a complete facelift and is fully renovated, why would the school spend money on a multimillion dollar facility? Personally, I think an on-campus stadium would be great for the school and would change the attendance figures at UCF home games.

I'm not so sure. On-campus stadiums can't serve beer, so that would wipe out half the people that go to the games at the Citrus Bowl in the first place...
Seriously, though, until fan interest is a lot higher, I doubt we'll see a campus stadium anytime soon. The program is spending money on a lot of other things right now, and I'll bet anything there are zero ($0.00) dollars in the budget allocated at studying such a project. Let's build up a good program first in C-USA, start winning games against real I-A opponents, get more people in the Citrus Bowl (like 35-50k on average), get into a bowl game for the first time ever, and improve our budget before we even begin thinking about a campus stadium.
Now if a some super rich guy wants to make a $25 million donation, that would rock...

Yeah an on-campus stadium might wipe out half of those who want to get soused during the game, but it might attract more students to the game who live in the close vicinity. And we could get soused right before the game or after it. I don't see the stadium happening soon for 2 reasons, no immediate funding, and those who moved to Oviedo and are shocked and complain that theres college students everywhere. Besides if the Citrus Bowl gets renovated for the BCS, a on-campus stadium would be further out of the question. But it is still nice to dream.

Beer is too expensive to get drunk inside the citrus bowl. Students will resort to getting sloshed b4 hand and bringing flasks inside the stadium like UF and FSU. By then GO will have made UCF a kick-a$$ team and no one will need to drink to want to go.

I agree with you. I get there at 7am and I finish a 20 pack before game time and don't need to buy beer inside.
