Congrats to Tad
Okay, so I know this because NASCAR was one of my coverage beats during my years of working as a sports reporter/broadcaster, but Congratulations to former Tribe baseballer, Tad Geschickter, as his race team won the Pole position for Sunday's Daytona 500.

Tad's JTG-Daughtry Racing Chevrolet, sponsored by Clorox and driven by Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., won the pole at a speed of 194.582 mph.

Tad and his wife, Jodi, are both good people. Tad played baseball (catcher) in the mid-1980's for the Tribe.

If you happen to be flipping through channels on Sunday and hit the race, check to see where the #47 car is running.

Best of Luck, Tad.

BAM

If you see the ads on Tribe football/basketball for BAM - Brand Activation Maximizer, that's Tad's other company/software.

Then I guess it is okay for Joe Gibbs' team (the late J.D. Gibbs) to finish second!

I seem to recall that Mark Kelso did - or does - work for this race team as well.

Yeah, so sad about J.D. I used to see him around the pit area, as well. We would always talk a little W&M sports.

Isn't that the car with Trump 2020 on it?

No, you are thinking of the #47 of Joe Nemechek, in the Xfinity Series (the AAA level NASCAR Series). Tad's sponsors are all Proctor & Gamble products.
