Dukes go for 2 in a Rowe tonight in Philly. I've gone to this game the past couple of years and witnessed us blow the game so tonight I'll watch from home.

Will be interesting to see if the Dukes apply the pressure defense that was pretty effective last game. Drexel is pretty sound defensively and in the half court. They prefer to keep the game lower scoring than JMU does. They have a big who is solid but who size wise Wilson should be able to match up with. They also have a talented guard Wynter who JMU's guards will have to do a better job with than they have playing defense against opposing guards this year.

Drexel has lost their last 3. Needless to say every game is must win for the Dukes if they hope to climb out of the hole they have dug- a win on the road at Drexel to bring them to 5-6 will give the Dukes a little more hope that they can gradually climb in the standings.

Tonight would also be an important win to get a little momentum going into Delaware on Saturday.

Whenever there is a glimmer of hope for this team they slap you in the face.
Tonight is face slapping time.
Dukes are a 6 point underdog but will lose by double digits.

Dukes get this one to go streaking at 2 games ... then drop Saturday.

Wilson sucked in the first matchup with Drexel. He needs to at least match Drexel’s PF Butler for the Dukes to get a road win. Both like to play bully ball and are very similar below the rim players.

Butler is #3 in the nation for double doubles. Wilson is #36

In the exciting race to see who earns an invitation to the Keener round, JMU is 3.5 games behind 6th place Drexel. A loss tonight would put them 4.5 behind with only 6 games to play.

Very small. And this is what they’ve got AFTER they renovated to add more comfortable/luxury seating.

I watched maybe the last 9 or 10 minutes of the game and when Drexel would reverse the ball on offense, they would get wide open looks from three. No one within 5 or 6 feet of shooters. Not blocking out for rebounds. Open looks inside. That's just on the defensive end. On the other end, no concept of what a good shot is, no ball or player movement, just one-on-one forces. Matt Lewis, if you're paying attention, cannot finish at the rim. That and forcing the game instead of sharing the ball lead to his continued futility as a shooter. A competent coach with X's and O's is imperative and can't happen soon enough!
