WBB vs Delaware 1/31/20
The Lady Dukes hit the road for a 2 game road trip this weekend at Delaware and Drexel. Will be heading up to the Bob carpenter Center Friday for the game with the wife and younger daughter. The Blue Hens have been having an off year at 6-12 overall and 2-5 in conference. The Dukes expect Kayla to be back in action on Friday so that will be good.

Hope to see some Purple and Gold in the stands on Friday.

Go Dukes!

Brian

JMU85

Thanks for the compliment but I am sure there are far more longer term dedicated Dukes than myself and the wife. We are still fairly new to Dukedom, got started with the older daughter in 2006 and continued with the younger one in 2011. The wife and I have seen T shirts with some various variations of "I married into this" and we have been unable to come up with a suitable line that describes us becoming part of JMU Nation. Still working on it though.

The wife and I both went to the Stevens Institute of Technology which is a small (1250 students when we were there in the mid 70's) private engineering and science school in Hoboken, NJ. Sports there at the time were an afterthought so we never had a chance to experience the college sports scene. Making up for it now!!!!!!

Go Dukes!!

Brian & fam are awesome WBB supporters, not to mention football & I'm sure some other sports. But their WBB fandom is traced back to their kids in the pep band, right Brian? Pep Band churns out some pretty significant fans!

Hyper

We got started on football with the older daughter in 2006 as a freshman and member of the MRD's. Hoops came by later that season as she played in the Pep Band, mostly WBB games due to her schedules, and that is how we became WBB fans. The younger daughter started in 2011 also as an MRD but her instrument was the bassoon so she played clarinet in the MRD's but since they do not have any clarinets in the Pep Band she never became a member. By that time we were confirmed WBB fans so we came to all the home games and she would come along with us.

Getting ready to head out in a bit to pick up the younger daughter and to head up to the Bob for tonights game. Hope to see a good turnout of Purple Clad Fans tonight!!

Go Dukes!!

Brian

Just got back to the hotel after tonights game. Dukes victory 60-39 over the Blue Hens. JMU held the Hens to 22% shooting for the game with some stifling D. Kayla looked very good in her return from her injury, didn't miss a beat. Talked to her mom after the game and she said that she was fine and really missed not being able to play the last 4 games.

Sundays game against Drexel is going to be a tough one. Dukes look like they are hitting all cylinders well so that looks good for Sundays game.
