Banks has been garbage. Not sure how keeping him in the game has been good for this team. Rowe has done nothing to develop the guys on the bench. Christmas is a shell of what he was earlier this season.

these guys have fought so hard and I'm sure enjoying the crowd/energy. I'd love to see them pull this one out. W&M is playing good, they are not going to give it to us. Love to see us finish strong and have a "W" to celebrate.

Really questionable officiating in this game.

he had hit a couple and he was open. i was ok with it. not my first choice...but better than forcing it up double covered. Culuko wasn't available.

Exciting game and atmosphere today. Wasn't expecting to win today, but could have won it. Reminded me of the electric zoo.

JMU (excluding a win over D3 Shenandoah) is now 8-18 overall and 2-14 in the watered down CAA. With 2 regular season games remaining in the Northeast swing next weekend.

But, we're young. Let's not forget that.

Emotional post game interview. I feel bad for Rowe. I think he's tried everything he can think of to succeed and it just hasn't worked.

I'm with ya. You can hear the angst and he has been nothing but class. I truly wish him the best. The follow up with the announcers talking about how well the team represents on the road....that's a great reflection on Lou as well.

Yes it was. I feel bad for Coach Rowe also. I really want him to be a success. It just stinks that he hasn't been able to see that happens. My gut feeling says JMU keeps Rowe. If they do maybe he finally finds success.

He’s in way over his head. He’s an adult, and while he wanted to be a HC, and the opportunity to be a HC at his alma mater was too big an opportunity to pass up, we all knew...I think he knew also...he wasn’t ready for the job. LR should have taken on a D2 or DIII job first. I don’t feel the least bit sorry for him.

Now, the people responsible at JMU for hiring LR I feel disgust and anger toward. Louis Rowe is a decent man, a valued part of JMU MBB history. The powers that be should have NEVER offered LR the job. Inexcusable incompetence.

i was looking forward to halftime when ex players were on the court. Disappointed they cut away from it.

Where were these people all season?? Hospitality room was the most crowded I've seen it in at least 2 years. Good to hear the crowd explode a few times anyway. Another game we had a chance to close out and did not.

That was a really special day seeing all the former players, seeing the atmosphere in the Convo back closer to what it should be, and seeing the team battle the way they did against a top CAA team. It was especially great seeing and talking to the guys from when my brother was a manager on the team, honestly had several of us close to tears a few times. I really feel for Lou knowing he feels the way about the JMU community that we do and really wish right now he was somewhere learning and getting the experience he needs to actually be ready to coach JMU someday instead of failing as the JMU coach. Most of all though, man I hope they get this next hire right so current and future students can have great memories in the AUBC like lots of us do in the Convo and pre-Convo.

Sorry, but I don't feel bad for Rowe at all. He lost me when he started skipping postgame radio interviews after losses. He's making almost 300 grand a year and will likely be paid another 300 grand not to work next year. He's let a lot of people down including himself I realize. Having said all that, I of course wish Lou well.

Disappointing end to the Convo. Rowe said in the post game that he drew up the play for Zach Jacobs to attempt the game tying 3.
Just one of a million reasons he can’t coach.

The Dukes needed one stop for the crowd to go nuts late in the game, but could not do it. Same ol’ same ol’ for this team. And we are to be reminded by Rowe that he is a defensive minded coach.

Before the game, I made it a point to seek out a person I know who works in the sports dept and that person did not agree with your gut feeling.
