Maybe they meant Fayetteville, AR, or Lafayette, LA or IN.....

And not sure I would consider Stanford, CA a small town.

The CDP of Stanford only has 13k people. It’s right next to Palo Alto, which has 66k.

I hate when lists like this include suburban communities as "small town". Stanford, CA may be a "small town" but it is also an integral part of the 5th largest combined metropolitan area in the US.
