Cajuns DC Roberts to Baylor as DC under Coach Aranda
Looks like Cajuns Defensive Coordinator Ron Roberts will be following former LSU DC Aranda to Baylor as his DC. The university hasn't made the official announcement as yet but this is from the UL broadcast partner website.

I was scared of this, when Ron Roberts was the head coach at Delta State, Dave Aranda was his DC.

Big loss. Reminds me of Troy losing Vic Koenning.

Not sure I'd call it a "big" loss. If Napier is planning on jumping ship in 2020-2021, he could conceivably bring in a big name person at a discount in anticipation of that jump.

I think they'll be fine as long as Billy Napier is there. Curious to know who they have on deck though.

promoting safeties coach Patrick Toney to DC.

big loss, but good young and respected coaching talent on the staff already, they will be just fine.

Also, is hiring Georgia Defensive Analyst Austin Armstrong to coach ILBs. he was a GA on Napier's first year staff at Louisiana

This is indeed a big loss. Ron Roberts is one of the best at what he does and the odds of his replacement being close to as good as he is are not very good.

Doesn't seem to have much history as a coordinator outside of Louisiana, though.

He left SeLU because he got tired of all of the extra duties that came with being a HC. He just wanted to get back to being a coach and more involved with the players on a day to day basis. He will do very well at Baylor and make some serious money. He has little desire to be a HC again so this move fits him. A place where you can win big, but expectations are 8-4 and beat TCU.
