Boise State not happy with MWC’s new TV deal terms
Quote: “Boise State’s decision to join the conference was predicated on a number of negotiated provisions, including the right to separately negotiate material terms of media rights relating to our home games,” the university said in Friday’s statement distributed to the media by a spokesman. “This is stated in our conference agreement and cannot be changed by any vote of the membership or conflicting agreement. We will not support any change to this provision and are in the process of weighing our options to move forward.”

Not sure where Boise could go as a full member. They might need to go independent in football and dump Olympic sports in say the WcC if they were to leave the mountain west conference

This could become a very interesting situation. Worth monitoring.

Frankly, the B12 could offer BSU & probe BYU interest again. Then add 2 to 4 good bridge types later. However, the B12 went through this before with BYU, and got fed-up with the unwillingness to be flexible and modify a couple of institutional policies. BYU would not even delete or re-word a sentence in their student conduct handbook.

A couple of summers ago, the B12 had a whole bunch of G5 schools give presentations on why they should be added to the conference and the B12 determined not one of those schools broken even. Now if Oklahoma or Texas left and the conference had to rebuild, I would grab the best properties available; UCF, Boise State, ext.
