53 - 40 with 3:34 to play. Defense is giving up points with all the subs now in.

Schwartz and Mulkey check back in.

Lead down to 8 with 2:34 to go.

Swayze misses both free throws but Rice gets a rebound and Mulkey scores.

Lead down to 53 - 45 with 2:30 to go. Offense is non-existent, and defense has suddenly fallen apart.

I hope we can hit the FTs down the stretch. With Erica out, I would suspect Wiggins is the one we want with the ball.

55 - 47 with 1:02 left.

After Swayze missed two FTs, Wiggins hit a pair and Jackson hit a bucket to put the game away at 59 - 47 with 0:23 to play.

3 blocked shots by Rice in the last 2 minutes, there’s your defense :)

One by Wiggins, plus #4&5 from Mulkey

Good effort without Erica. Hopefully she's back Saturday for USM (I heard that's a possibility).

Sounds like she'll certainly be back next week. Not sure we need her at home against USM.

Schwartz and Swayze have to pick it up with Erica out, and they just didn't do it tonight. Neither played particularly well. Fortunately, from the 2Q onward, Nancy dominated on the boards, and we got much needed offense from the other two freshmen. It's clear that Erica opens things up for both Nancy and Schwartz, as the defense is forced to focus on her.

RE: WBB vs LA Tech
Actually, we may very well need for Erica Saturday vs. USM. Hadn't realized the USM women were having such a good season (11-4, 3-1 in CUSA), with wins against Ole Miss, VCU, LaTech, UNT and UTSA. They did get blown out by UTEP, UH and, of course, Mississippi State.
