Awesome to get this series kicked off 4 years from now. That's how scheduling should be. Not 10 years out. Hopefully Georgia State can hold onto the momentum growth you've got right now.

Would you be interested in a signature bet on this?

Define -- precisely -- what GSU's stadium not looking the same entails. If it's a new coat of paint and vinyl banners you're not foolin' anybody.
Wow. Youre really not feeling well about this.

The East Side of GSU has not even been touched for renovation. This was a five phase project from the beginning. But whatever dude. Your silly dream of absorbing our 53k students (lol) as your liberal arts school is still... silly.

You never answered my sig bet question. I am mostly ambivalent about it, but I do view you as one of the biggest kool aid drinkers on the boards, so I do enjoy testing how seriously you hold your convictions. :)

It would never be a full merger. Georgia State's academic mission is too broad in scope for that to happen. The JuCos that have been folded into Georgia State would have to be brought back out.

This is great for State, hope it works out for both schools. Save money on traveling for both schools. If this becomes a rivalry game, someone needs to give it a name and trophy.

Signature bet six years from now? Lol. I don't gamble.

As for Kool Aid Drinking you became the reigning world champion in multiple times actually suggesting absorbing GSU for of all reasons, football recruiting. LOL.

And yeah you're ambivalent as in slamming your head in a car door repeatedly.

After our games with them, I was hoping we'd do the same, it just never happened. I think our AD was more worried about money games than bringing in a P5 to Paulson. Hopefully that changes with the new AD.

I'm guessing you haven't seen either of those teams home attendance.
This is a guaranteed sellout at both places. Way too much history involved.

Lol. How can you even type that with a straight face?

You going to take over their stadium like you took over ours?

I am assuming you don't live in Atlanta and or know nothing about either school.

He's just mad that GS couldn't even schedule Vanderbilt to play at Paulson.

To be honest I think I'd rather play at Vandy.

In before anyone says "butts in seats"...!!!

Oh, wait. Never mind.

Also, I think I shall pull out the old "Evening School of Commerce" shirt for this one.

Your school or someone needs to go all in on that and create shirts for that game.

RE: Georgia State Lands H&H with Georgia Tech
I would be very surprised if both schools don’t sell out. I did my undergrad at State and am finishing my PhD there. All of my friends went to State, went to Tech, or went to both. They will all be there. They don’t normally go to games at either school, but when all of your friends can have a big party at the tailgate, you’re not gonna miss out.

On a “big” game we usually get close to selling out the current capacity (24k). A big game usually being the season opener, and generally, while every seat isn’t full, it’s pretty crowded. I would assume there’s around 20k fans at a game like that. How many fans will Tech bring? 10k? 20k? I would have thought at least 20k fans. Furman and Kennesaw probably bring 5k, and they aren’t 2 miles up the street. So I assume if we don’t generally open the top deck by then, we will for this game, and I assume we have a very packed sell out.

Georgia State Lands H&H with Georgia Tech
Had a coworker (GT grad) tell me today that it will seem like a home game for both schools in both stadiums. All the rest of his family are GSU grads. This is going to be like one of those Southern summer family reunions people have every year . Most grads for both schools (as with more schools) are not actively involved with the programs day to day. This will be different.

GT typically wears white at home a lot, so you could probably see that. We wore our home jerseys each time we played up there.
