I can understand being an environmentalist, going around picking up trash or whatever, but this religious devotion to raising people’s taxes and in many cases, eliminating people’s jobs, so the government can throw money at the weather, it’s insane.

I know, I saw the article earlier, my comment was an aside. It's like throwing money against any other force of nature. Mother nature isn't an easily tamed shrew. An even better analogy would be it's like the ancients in South America and other locations throwing people off of high peaks to appease their gods.

As an avid hunter and outdoors-man I understand the value of conserving my property as well as the general environment. I know very few conservatives who aren't environmentally conscious.

The road frontage along our farm, and really all up and down the entire road, is constantly having refuse dumped onto it, bags of trash, old TVs, recliners, sofas, bags and bags of fast food containers. I know who is doing it by and large and they are all likely democrats. Such neighborhoods as there are which have encroached on the other rural areas where our place is located don't have garbage pickup service provided by the county and the county dump is apparently too far for these people to travel. While that may be a reason for illegal dumping it's certainly no excuse. I've caught several likely democrats in the act and made them clean up their mess because who argues with a crazy man with a pistol strapped on? I spent over 800 dollars last year having one of the entrances to the farm bulldozed, a pit dug and and all manner of materials, non-toxic, covered over. That service was provided by a friend at half price too.

The global warming bandwagon jumpers and democrats are IMO likely the first to throw a bag out of their window. A huge problem is that even if caught and ticketed the courts are too packed with so called real criminals for the judges to do too much to offenders who are caught. I've had county officials visit, taken them for drives along roads in the area that are completely littered, and have been promised that video camera's would be installed along with signage. They'll send a crew out to do cleanup and within a week it looks just like it did previously. They'll put one or two signs up with warnings that the area is under 24 hour video monitoring and I've yet to see a camera installed.

Sorry for the rant.

Bernie hit job and I'm sad Warren did nothing to stop it. It will backfire on Warren and the media.

Biden won by not being the target.

I certainly hope so. No matter how much things backfire on Warren and the media, it's not enough to suit me.

I have a 3 1/2 year old son and a 5 month old daughter. They will both be home schooled. 100%. No liberal indoctrination for my kids.

Crazy to think that there are seniors in high school that have never heard of (because they've never been taught) Stalin or Mao.

So the Clinton News Network giving Sanders, not just the Sanders treatment he received in 2016, but giving him a Republican treatment.

"...Yet, even for the most hardened critics of the network, yesterday’s debate in Des Moines was breathtaking in its unrelentingly negative questions of Sanders followed up relative softballs to others like Sen. Amy Klobuchar. However the lowest moment of this or any debate this year occurred when CNN reporter Abby Phillips made Sanders repeat his outright denial of the allegation by Elizabeth Warren that he told her that no woman could be president and then immediately stated that Sanders did make the comment in her next question to Warren. In watching with a room filled with people who are not affiliated with Sanders, Phillips’ statement led to loud gasps and Sanders himself seemed dumbfounded on stage by the bias shown by the CNN reporter. Later, Warren appeared to refuse to shake the hand of Sanders...."

TB4E..... that is kind of a dumb rant. This is no different that that idiotic CB thread baiting the board about "why republicans harass women......"

People harass other people, people litter, people care and do not care about the environment - it is not political, it is dumb people being dumb or lazy, or an a-hole. You don't have to be red or blue to be an a-hole - PERIOD.

For every Dem that throws trash on your property I am sure i can find a Rep that litters someplace too. Same goes for people who harass other people. That is just a dumb generalization to try to make "the other side" look bad.

It doesn't have to be. Had the forest managers been allowed to do routine fuel reduction operations the severity of these wildfires would have been much less and allowed fire crews to have a much greater chance of getting them under control in a timely manner. However, the climate cult has succeeded in preventing forest managers from doing these burns and underbrush clearings allowing fuel to build up to dangerous levels.

RE: 1/14 Democratic Presidential Debate
Quote:On Tuesday night, Democratic presidential contenders battled it out in the seventh Democratic primary debate, hosted by CNN and The Des Moines Register.

As noted by The New York Times, the “sparks didn’t really fly” during the dull and lengthy debate, though there was a “tense moment” between Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). The far-left candidates were asked about a dubious CNN report regarding Sanders allegedly telling Warren a woman could never be elected president, which the Vermont senator vehemently denied.

Lucky for Warren, however, the moderator from CNN took her side during the exchange, completely ignoring Sanders’ denial. The Daily Wire reported:

CNN’s Abby Phillips asked Sanders: “So, Senator Sanders, I do want to be clear here; you’re saying that you never told Senator Warren that a woman could not win the election?”

“That is correct,” Sanders responded.

Phillips then turned to Warren and asked, “Senator Warren, what did you think when Senator Sanders told you a woman could not win the election?”

Greg Gutfeld, a co-host on Fox News’ “The Five,” noted the moment in a tweet concerning his “take home notes” of the night:

The “real thinkers” referenced by Gutfeld are presumably Democratic candidate Andrew Yang, a former tech executive, and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI). The two candidates fell short of qualifying for the debate stage, making Tuesday’s Democratic primary debate lacking racial diversity, something Democrats routinely tout.

And as far as Gutfeld’s prediction that Trump will “eat any of these” candidates “alive” in a general election, CNN and MSNBC moderators are seemingly in agreement. Post-debate left-wing analysts worried over which contender could beat Trump.

For example, CNN’s Van Jones called the debate “dispiriting.”

“I want to say that tonight for me was dispiriting,” Jones said on CNN, according to The Hill. “Democrats will have to do better than we saw tonight. There was nothing I saw tonight to suggest we’ll be able to take Donald Trump out and I want to see a Democrat in the White House as soon as possible.”

“There was nothing tonight, if you’re looking at this thing, to say any of these people are prepared for what Donald Trump will do to us. And to see further divisions tonight is very dispiriting,” he added.

As noted by Gutfeld, the “amateur” moderators were not well received. The hashtag #CNNIsTrash trended following the debate due to the questions and actions from CNN, particularly CNN’s Abby Phillips openly taking Warren’s side in the Bernie-Warren dispute.

“CNN has long been viewed as anti-Sanders, but this is incredible,” posted constitutional law professor and impeachment witness Jonathan Turley. “After asking Sanders to repeat his denial, Abby Phillips asserted that Sanders was lying: ‘Senator Warren, what did you think when Senator Sanders told you a woman could not win the election?'”

Tucker's take on Sanders/Warren:

"...The question is, is she telling the truth?

Let's review the evidence. This is the person who lied about her ethnicity in order to game the quota system at Harvard. This is also the person who made big money advising corporations on how to avoid paying the people they'd harmed, and then, once she'd cashed in doing that, built an entirely new persona as a ferocious consumer champion.

This is a person so synthetic and uncertain of who she is that she can't even drink a beer with her own husband without coming off like the captive in a hostage video...."
