Mountain West released their tie ins for 2020 below. Arizona bowl is now Mountain West vs. MAC.

This makes a LOT more sense for both conference.

Are we swapping the Arizona bowl for a different bowl?

Disappointed we now don’t have a bowl tie with the MWC. As the MWC, I wouldn’t want our #1 playing #7 PAC12 team. But reputation is everything, so a win over a P5, no matter the rankings or record, is good.

Get a SBC-MW bowl game in Texas. Kind of a middle ground for both conferences.

We knew this was coming last year so no big surprise. What is surprising is the Belt hasn't formally announced bowl bids for 2020 and beyond. Probably because ESPN and the Belt are working on something.

We will have two guaranteed spots:

NOLA and Mobile

Everything after that is either bowl pool (Myrtle, Camelia, Cure, Boca) or something new.

The other interesting news is I don't believe it has been announced what the Nola opponent will be yet. Mobile is looking like #2/#3 for the MAC

Zona bowl was arranged when we still had western footprint. Now that NMST and Idaho are gone and Texas State never managed to get bowl eligible during that window, it make sense to cut ties

NOLA SBC #1 vs CUSA #1
Mobile SBC #2 vs MAC #2

Regional choice for Myrtle, Cure, Camellia, Boca, Bahamas no set rotation for bowl eligible teams.
