The two have met 15 times, beginning in 1981.

USM has dominated the series 13-2, winning all 7 of the matches in the 80's.

UNT has never won in Hattiesburg.

They last met in January of 2019, a 65-62 UNT win in Denton.

tomorrow's game will be your best shot to date....UNT is -6.5 fave....

we're basically 7 deep, playing man D, and our assist leader is at 4.2/game....

we don't have a PG for shite....can't make a trey b/c we don't set it up....we foul like playground biatches, and don't get to the line due to lack of corching (except the UTSA game....Jay finally found a fk'n clue)

we suck frumunda cheese...we're 1-13.....

UTEP has me shaking my head with every bad shot they are taking tonight. I thought they had a solid chance to compete for a CUSA championship and now it looks like it's going to be a desperate fight just to make the CUSA tournament.

Yeah, I picked em third in another thread. Well they can have our spot in the Poopy Pod if they really want it.

I've been a fan since the 80s and this probably going to end up being the most disappointing season I can renember, football or basketball.

Don’t give up yet, 15-0 run for the Miners... visitors still up 56-48 at 10:21 left

Congrats Miner fans. That was a treat to watch. Williams is fantastic. And we already knew UTSA's Jackson was freaking good. Problem for UTSA is that when he goes cold, their offense basically shuts off.

RE: Week of Jan 13 Men’s Basketball
Great game for the Miners. UTEP trailed by 24 points but rallied to force OT. UTEP stays tough at home and takes the win 80-77.

UTEP must have done something to shut down UTSA's hot shooting Jhivvan Jackson. He shot just 30% from the ARC last night (3 of 10), which is not terrible, but nothing like the 53.3% (8 of 15) he shot against LA Tech. The entire UTSA team shot 32% last night from 3-pt land, and 56% from 3-pt land against Tech.

Jackson scored 29 pts against the Miners (and 37 against Tech), with most of last nights points coming in the 1st half.

Jhivvan Jackson drives the UTSA bus. Would love to know how UTEP stopped him cold in the 2nd half.

RE: Week of Jan 13 Men’s Basketball
I just want to thank the Associated Press for such thorough coverage of this thrilling tilt! The way they describe the comeback and the back and forth nature of the battle down the stretch is truly enthralling. A real page turner!

EL PASO, Texas -- Bryson Williams hit a hook shot with 2:22 remaining in overtime to give UTEP the lead en route to an 80-77 win over UTSA on Wednesday night.

Williams also sank a jumper to even the score at 68 with 49 seconds left in regulation and send the game to overtime. He finished with a career-high 34 points plus 10 rebounds to lead the Miners.

Daryl Edwards had 18 points for UTEP (11-7, 2/3 Conference USA). Nigel Hawkins added eight rebounds. Eric Vila had seven rebounds and six assists.

Jhivvan Jackson had 29 points and 13 rebounds for the Roadrunners (8-10, 2-3). Keaton Wallace added 26 points. Luka Barisichad 12 points.
