In 18 season as head coach, teams coached by Stansbury have shot 2679 more ft's than their opponent. He has also never coached a team that was out-shot on ft's.

To our friends in Huntington, please do not be shocked when we shoot a combined 30 more ft's than you over the next two games.

Then your game with us should be typical. We've gone probably 6-8 halves without attempting a FT while we've gone probably 12 games or so shooting 2 or less FT in a half.

The only downside is our fg attempts are WAAAY lower than our opponents which mean we MUST make those free throws

I always bought in to the Bobby Knight goals. He wanted to make more free throws than his opponent attempted. Also liked his belief that no one should dribble more than three times once past half court. Basketball is about ball movement, hate watching guys dribble around and accomplishing nothing.

EXACTLY!! Nothing irritates me more than a basketball team that dribbles too much. I'm constantly harping on this subject on our LA Tech fan board. Tech's got players that think they are in a dribbling contest instead of a basketball game.

Happens way too much nowadays. Ball handling contests.
