Well the wife and I are sitting in our hotel room in Allen, TX still smarting over yesterdays loss in the FCS Championship game. In spite of that the Lady Dukes hit the road today for their first away conference game against Towson. Would be heading to the game if we were home but since we will be traveling will try to watch it on some sort of mobile device.

The Tigers are off to a bit of a rough start this season. Had a fairly large graduating class last year including several key contributors in their CAA Championship team. Will be a tough game in spite of that and I hope there will be some Purple in the stands ROOTIN!! them on!!

I looked at Towson's roster and they still have a couple of players that gave us fits last year, including Nukiya Mayo and Q. Murray. However, they seem to have lost that big sulky freshman center that fouled all the time whose name I don't remember, Janelle something? IIRC, she had a twin at UNCW, but I looked at their roster and didn't see her either. Wonder what happened there? The girl did not seem very happy. I seem to remember that she was from Richmond.

My bad. Janeen Camp. I looked her up, and she has decamped to Coastal Carolina to be with with her sister.

76-75 Towson, despite some last-minute heroics. i couldn't get the audio, and I decided not to opt for FloSports because of the cost, so had to follow on Twitter. It appears that this team is developing a real bad habit of falling behind in the first half and then playing catchup. Today it bit them in the butt. Maybe they'll learn from it.

I watched the 4th quarter on my way home from DC. Was pretty aggravated at Smalls doing her best Lebron no-defense impression as the Towson player drove for the go-ahead layup. She clearly and intentionally decided not to challenge the play as it approached her (she was in the paint, not guarding on the perimeter). I don’t care if she had 4 fouls, with 3 seconds left and up 1, you gotta challenge the shot, even if you foul out.
