Sure. Lucky for you your conference would ignore your opinion. And going with 11 teams would not be the best idea. Just like adding more basketball schools makes no sense. Add another full member and be done with it.
Yes---that brilliant sharp thinking is exactly how the MW ended up with San Jose St. Fun tip for conference building----You dont get better by adding schools that look like the worst schools in your conference. You get better by adding schools that look like the top of your conference. If there arent any of those around---dont add anyone.
That is how you all ended up with ECU, Tulsa, and Tulane right? Please. And now look at Tulane. They have turned into a solid football team. SJSU had a pulse in football this year, return 8 on offense and 7 on defense next year, and should go bowling. Their basketball team looks improved too after a ton of turnover. And now, they are in the middle of stadium renovations.
Why have Tulane and SJSU improved? Because recruits wanna play in the AAC and MWC and they are getting more talent. SJSU just had farther to climb.
What's your next attempt at slamming on the MWC?
So your theory is we need to add more bottom dwellers like SJSU? Lol. Bless your little heart——Adding to the bottom of your conference is not the way to improve your conference.
Good job missing the point. It's like you do it on purpose. You mentioned not having anyone to add or adding a bad school like SJSU. Then I said the AAC did that with ECU, Tulane, and Tulsa. With me so far? Go ahead and reread it if you have too.
Then i used SJSU and Tulane as examples of how bad teams can improve in the right conference. SJSU just had a taller climb.
How hard was that?

Man, some Boise folks just can't get over 2007.
Here is one of your useless trolls. No one cares about a meaningless game in 2007. But I understand ECU has been one of the worst teams in the country in football for a while and has always been horrible in hoops. Doesnt help you are in one of the worst parts of the country. You need to brag about something. You let Tulane become more relevant in sports than you. All ECU has done is shown that despite your big stadium, you are the worst edition to the AAC. You all are just a leach sucking your conference mates that are relevant dry. Keep living in the past because you guys have no future. Wichita State and Memphis are bringing you all some more cash soon.

I didnt miss your point. I simply called out how moronic it was. Adding more schools that look like the bottom of your conference while crossing your fingers and hoping they will get better is not a sound strategy---no matter how many times you repost it.
BTW---San Jose St went 5-7 this year (2-6 in the MW) with an average attendance of just over 15K. They have never finished above .500 in their entire MW history. Getting to a bowl game is pretty much their ceiling---and I have not even touched on what a horrible RPI/NET killing boat anchor the school is for MW basketball. There is no way to frame that kind of addition as a good strategy for the AAC to follow.
The only realistic value adding proposition I see for the AAC at this moment is adding VCU as a non-football member. Where we agree is that the new MW TV deal has probably closed the financial/exposure gap enough that luring a front range MW school is extremely unlikely.

Well, "Reverend" (oh holier than thou?), you are the only one member of this message board who has voiced this "opinion." Actually, it's not a well-considered opinion, but a transparent example of trolling. Whether you realize it or not, trolling is subject to a ban on this board.

Oh Reverend (holier than thou?),
With regard to the prior post, which you called "trolling," consider the following words:
"Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
Matthew 7:1-5

ECU has among the most loyal fans in the nation. Despite their woes, ECU's attendance exceeded Boise's attendance for two of the past three years and by a 6.74% average over the past three years.
Boise cannot even support a winning team ( https://magicvalley.com/sports/college/b...9b9.html). The school is located in a relatively sparely populated state with a dearth of D-1 prospects
Your school is one bad hire away from irrelevancy.
OTHO, ECU's upside is significant. They have survived the lean years and investing in the future.
