If you have watched each game, and you might have, there are clearly things he is struggling with right now that he needs to work on. His record right now does not equate good coaching. He has played many teams without a pulse. We have won a few games that could have gone either way because we could not keep the foot on the gas.

I do not think Penny is a bad coach. I also do not think he is a good coach. This is a long process that each Memphis fan should have known going into this. I back Penny 100%, but I also try to be realistic.

People get caught up in the moment. Fans are the worst. When he was 12-1 he was being considered for coach of the year after what happened with Wiseman. He loses to WSU with two starters who were getting over the flu. Lester broke his hand. Dandridge coming off knee surgery. Maurice the starting center didn't play today (not sure whats wrong with him now).

With none of that happening, I think the vast majority of Memphis fans still would have figured they still would have lost two or three games by now. Why? Because they're freshman.

Now we're asking whether or not he can coach. Everyone needs to take a deep breath.

We've got a bunch of young bucks who are learning how to play at the college level. They'll figure it out.

That was not the view expressed by many tiger fans on here in the preseason. Despite a few coming with a schtick as the season approached.

One is many? Dr. Salt, I thought Tulsa was good at readin', ritin' and rithmetic. I hope so. You're not good at sports.

There were more than one.

If you have some spare time, find some of the threads dated April-November of last year. There's plenty to choose from.

Again, does it matter. We have the largest contingent on the board. Every fanbase has a percentage of guys going overboard. I don't think they're ******** any more than I thought Miggy was one. I bet on Memphis at the Golden Nugget to win it all at 14-1 odds.

I was with a Virginia fan from DC when I made the bet. He texted me the second Wiseman was suspended (to rub it in probably-haha) and the odds went to 50-1. I imagine the odds went much higher once he quit.

Here's my ticket

Here's print out for betting odds before I made my wager. Memphis 14-1, Wichita 300-1.

Losing Wiseman matters.

If you have some spare time, find some of the threads dated April-November of last year. There's plenty to choose from.

I guess my response is maybe Penny should've not got involved in the first place, considering he was a booster for the school and money was exchanging hands. I feel bad for Wiseman in that case but not for Penny or some of Memphis's most obnoxious.

And preseason odds really aren't an indicator of anything other than hype and getting some of the dumb public hooked. Look at UNC's odds, or Florida's, or LSU's.

Shhh, he lives in Vegas, if he doesn't realize Vegas predicts money not wins with odds then we probably shouldn't tell him.

It means everything. Memphis fans (all one or two of them) saying something outlandish was based on those odds. I'd trust Vegas over any poll, and Vegas has us the sixth best team in the country until the Wiseman saga. Of course there would be a small percentage of Memphis fans who thought the sky was the limit.

Don't forget that when the one fan I can remember said we would go undefeated, it was Memphis fans that shot back to "slow your roll".

Memphis should get hell and/or bad karma based on the comments of one or two guys, is retarded.

Yeah because pollsters and broadcasting companies with bias are more reliable than experts that wager money for a major corporation. Knowing if they get it wrong they lose their jobs. Yeah, ya got me there.

All I know is the Over/Under from last night's National Championship game was 67. I'll be damned if it wasn't 42-25. 67.
