Looks like a 2 loss AAC team beats a 1 loss Sun Belt team by 2 spots. Plus a 3 losses beats 2 loss team from the MWC. Here is the final AP poll:

Memphis 17th (2 losses)
App St. 19th (1 loss)
Navy 20th (2 losses)
Cincy 21st (3 losses)
AF 22nd (2 losses)
Boise 23rd (2 losses)
UCF 24th (3 losses)

Solid year for the AAC!

Don't forget, the 4 teams by the AAC are more than the Pac 12, Big 12, and ACC this year. Pretty great season, and foundationally, all of these teams are bringing back a ton (plus Houston maybe?). Could be the start of something genuinely good.

They couldn't bring themselves to put App over Michigan. I know it's harped on every time App plays on ESPN and that most people are tired of it, but that would've been great to see.

What did Boise show to remain ranked after their putrid showing in Vegas? If anything, that game was what I expected rather than an aberration as the strength of their schedule was overvalued by far.

I think UCF would have smacked BSU around.

If Memphis & SMU had won the AAC would have had 5 ranked teams, including one in the top 10. While the AAC certainly made a statement, that would have been a big one.

UCF probably drops out of the rankings in that scenario.

The diehard Texas voters were going to get them in at 25 no matter what.
