RE: CAA Game #2 - @ Hofstra
The fouls are lopsided but it’s not the officials’ fault.

Half our fouls came after giving up offensive rebounds. The other half came when we fouled after getting beat by penetration drives.

I know I’m getting old when I’m more frustrated with our poor defensive rebounding and our fouling than happy with our lead.

I’m taking a chill pill now.

New game in the second half. A lot of rest for Andy and Nate. Pick up the defensive play even more and ride it home. Nate has got to play for the win and not his numbers. He can have a big impact in the 2nd half protecting the rim. Play even harder, guys. Go Tribe!

A 22 point halftime lead? At Hofstra?

This must be what it feels like to be Northeastern the last two years at the Hall.

Stay focused!!

Pretty sure the announcers are Hofstra students. Lazy turnover at the end of the half, but otherwise not much to complain about. Nice to see Quinn have a nice half for us. Only thing keeping this from being completely out of hand was the fifteen FTs they had in the first half. Hopefully we can finish this game strong and get the hell out of Long Island before they wake up.

CAA Game #2 - @ Hofstra
Let’s go guys. One of our best offensive halves of the season. Not sure how good our defense was - definitely some terrible Hofstra shooting, but perhaps bc we’re causing it.

Knight 8 and 7 at halftime. Easy double double.

Gotta come out hungry in the 2nd half and hope the shots keep falling.

Bummer to turn over momentum at the end with that silly giveaway and no chance to score ourselves.

I'm not worried about them waking up. We are driven.

Shooting 64.3% at the half.
Let's keep it up.

I get it. Happy with the lead, but failing to find bodies to box out is poor fundamentals and laziness. Drives me nuts too. On teams I played on, you were headed to the bench if you didn't box out.

No idea why Hofstra keeps settling for jumpers, but please do. We don't need to get into any foul trouble and give them free points from the FT line

Good start. Hit 5 of our first 7. Don't let up.

CAA Game #2 - @ Hofstra
Maybe it's years of being a beaten down tribe fan, but I feel like the game will get close in the end.

I'd expect ball pressure most of the 2nd half to try and generate extra possessions for them.

This has been huge. Keep them outside. If they beat us from there so be it.

Great game so far. High shooting percentage covers up a lot of other issues. Keep up the good work. Maybe work on a few fundamentals...

I always wondered what it felt to be rooting for a team that could get comfortable leads...
I hope the conference season plays out this well.

I'm sure Hofstra will have their run. 27 points is hard to make up in 15 minutes though

45 years have taught me this is not a comfortable lead. (Pavlov's dog!)
