CAA Game #2 - @ Hofstra
I took the "does his mom know he's out late" to mean he looks young. I wish I looked young.

We have paid announcers for MBB and FB, at minimum. I believe student announcers cover soccer, baseball, WBB, FH and maybe LAX. I definitely prefer Jay, Mike, Billy Mac (back in the day), etc. I thought the Hofstra crew did ok. Much better than I could do...announcing cannot be easy. Just remembering names in a split second is enough to give me a headache.

Andrew Phillips and Julie Leach are the WBB announcers. They are not students. I assume they are paid.

I don't know if they're paid for the games but I'm almost positive they both have other jobs in the athletic department.

I think Kris (whose only mistake seems to be a tendency to agree with any and every Jay comment with the same phrase with (gosh darn it, now I forgot the phrase - but he said it a lot)) is more knowledgable about Tribe history and easier on the ears than Andrew Phillips (who still does the women's games ...and which I can't listen to anymore because they are not on the radio).

Listening to the NE game now and I have already heard the phrase that I was talking about. Kris likes to agree with Jay by saying "He really is ..." or "They really do ...". Nothing wrong with it; many announcers have pet phrases.
