We have missed Mr. Scott. Can't wait until he hits full stride.

Elon has shot lights out. I can't even say we played poor defense. We've hedged and had hands up

Good game. We need more from the rest of the squad than simply deferring to Nate and Andy on offense. Thornton coming alive in the final minutes was the difference. Any CAA win is huge-especially on the road.

Man I hope that was an anomaly.

Great we got a road win in conference, but man that makes me nervous.

Still feel like we're nowhere near what our potential is

Glad we won, but it was closer than it should have been. This team has to be road weary. Get through next week and home cooking becomes more frequent. Hopefully then we will start to see some more energy and play closer to their potential.

Tough, tough, gutty road win. The best Elon has played all year. Thank goodness Thornton is back on the floor. Hamilton needs less minutes. Rather see Ayesa and at least have his three point threat.

Hofstra 2-0 to start on the road. Need to steal one Thursday night. Not sure why Hofstra got the benefit of a 2 pm game today.

I guess a road conference win is a road conference win! That was scary as hell. Bet we beat them by twenty at the Kap. Knight was not going to let us lose tonight. Made the free throws we had to have at the end. Five road wins before 2020...didn’t see that coming.

We played with a much better pace in the second half on offense and Nate's 13 straight points didn't hurt, but the defense was not quick enough to handle Elon's guards. That leaves some concern for Thursday night.

Hofstra goes as Hofstra gets to the FT line. Pack it in and take our chances on their 3 point shooting, but don't let them penetrate and draw fouls. Hofstra wins from getting 20+ FT's. We have got to pound it inside. They have no answer to Nate and Andy. We will see zone for a change. We need upside Bryce Barnes to show up, not unconfident, inconsistent Bryce Barnes.

Nice to see that someone in authority at W&M recognizes the wound, AND is trying to heal same.

Dane continues to be a great hire. W&M teams of the past would have lost tonight.

I don't agree with that at all.

We have a first year coach, who has a lot of potential but is still learning on the job. We have a seriously depleted roster which hopefully will improve as the season progresses. We struggle with intensity (loose balls, rebounding when Knight is out, etc.) but hopefully that switch will turn on. We don't have that consistent 3rd and 4th scoring option yet but Loewe, Scott and Ayesa may get us there. We are committing too many fouls after allowing penetration rather than allowing our bigs to alter shots - again, maybe that will come.

A key play leading to our victory was a extremely poorly run offensive possession resulting in a last second that went in. NOT how the coach drew it up.

This team is performing through its limitations and we can still hope for a lightning strike but to say our previous teams would not have beaten this edition of Elon is not very fair.

Our previous teams did not perform well on the road ... this team’s road record is exceptional.

The 2014-2015 team, 20 wins, NIT team, lost at Elon.
