At most I'd give it was 35k. I sat on the sat on the KSU side and it looked full. The Navy side looked like it may have had 12k fans and the KSU probably had about 23k fans. No way it was 50k as reported.
Thanks for the info.

It was borderline block in the back as the defender did start to run when the block occurred. I've seen it called more than not called. The spot was bad but the replay wasn't definitive enough to overturn it. Going back to the punt return, he should have been kicking out of bounds anyway. He's much too dangerous of a return man to kick to. The announcers gave too much credit to KSU's block threat rather than to just say he missed it. I don't think the threat of a block normally comes to kickers mind. After all, it wasn't like he was a slow to the ball kicker or kicked it very low.
Navy should have went for it on 4th and 2. KSU couldn't stop them all night and the defense was gassed. After that missed field goal they got some extra adrenaline.
In the moment I wanted to come out of the timeout and go for it - wouldn't be the first time. However, when Nichols went out, I saw the idea of going up two scores. It was like there were two right answers...until the miss...

For what it is worth, College Football News and Athlon Sports have so far decided not cover the Liberty Bowl results. The only bowl I've seen not covered by either outlet. Wondering why.

Interesting rumor...
Let's assume Babers' job is safe and this isn't about Ivin Jasper getting a HC job.
And if Babers is the HC, let's assume it isn't anyone on the offensive side.
Defense...new DC Newberry was a Broyles award semifinalist. But in his first year up from Kenesaw State...co-DC Norwood has more experience.
Norwood has returned to Navy to be co-DC for his Radford HS best friend. After livung the nomadic coaching life, pretty happy to have come home to Annapolis.
Maybe a cool million will more than double his salary and be enough...
Good luck with that, Syracuse.
Huh. Rumor wrong.

You got a good one in Newberry and Norwood.
BTW, we love our new DC too, just as impressive
The 3-3-5 works well with our roster, too.

I'll come eat a little bit of "not leaving Navy" crow.
Norwood to UCLA as DBs and Asst. Head Coach.
Talk of Leach hiring Newberry at Starkville as DC.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go see if I can get Clanga Clanga twitter upset at hiring a guy who's only done Kenesaw State and lil ole Navy. Look what ND did to his defense!1!!

I don't want Newberry to go but he is a hot commodity. If Norwood moves that just does not make sense. I know Coach Ken is his long time bro and Norwood loves the Annapolis area. Maybe they need Norwood money to keep Newberry.
