The Vols execute a really fine onside kick and pull this one out of their bungholes. Neither team did much in the first half. Indiana owned the third quarter mostly on Tennessee mistakes and with 4:52 to go trailing by 13 Tennessee scores gets the onside kick and scores again leaving too much time on the clock. Indiana drives and misses a 52 yard field goal to go with a missed extra point to lose by 1. Happy the Vols found their stride at the end and their D line played pretty well all night.

The SEC should finished the regular Bowl season with the best overall record of 7-2.

Geaux Tigers!

Did you see the way the Hoosiers QB was running on the Vols D? UT simply can't get pressure with the front 4. Jarred G. had a terrible 3rd QTR. I'm happy for the win but there are a lot of questions that this recruiting class needs to fill. The coaching staff also needs to be better prepared situationally.

Watched the whole thing. When they blitzed 1 they got to the Indiana QB. When they rushed four Indiana sent the left end on a crossing route which made the Tennessee right linebacker pick him up. That left nobody at home on Tennessee's right side and a running alley to the left for the Hoosiers. The problem here is that the Tennessee D coordinator never picked up on it to change the assignments. That's piss poor game time coaching.

Your QB was throwing off his front foot and sailing the ball all night long. Like Auburn apparently you don't have a QB coach worth a damn in the film room or that could be fixed. The kid has raw talent, but is loosing confidence because he isn't being taught proper fundamentals. I have the same concern for Bo Nix because Gus hasn't developed a QB the whole time he's been here and quite frankly I hold him directly responsible for the inability of Jeremy Johnson, a great kid with a great spirit, to gain confidence and develop. The only Auburn QB's worth a damn under Gus were transfers developed elsewhere. Even Stidham had to go to the Pros to develop further. I see the same thing going on at Tennessee.

Weak coaches hire friends as assistants and use the friendship to cover their butts. It's happening with Gus and it's happening apparently with Pruitt.

That doesn't mean they can't win 8 or 9 games a year on raw talent. But it does mean they'll never be championship coaches.

RE: SEC IN THE BOWLS:
My view is that Georgia and Alabama should move into the top five in the final poll. Both looked good. We'll see. Ohio State will remain somewhere in the upper mix. Penn State and Oregon move up following those mentioned. Florida may improve a spot or two having won the Orange Bowl.

Oklahoma and Baylor tumble. Not sure how far OU will get dropped, having been a playoff team. With Navy beating KSU, Notre Dame beating ISU, and Texas A&M beating oSu, it was largely dismal bowl results for the B12 with the exception of the solid, dominating win by Texas over Utah.
